Course design is constantly evolving and challenging us to train new skills and add to our handling toolbox! Let’s get ready for these new course design trends and challenges that we are going to encounter, by training the skills we will need to master the courses!
This course is all about the trained skills that are now required on courses around the world. Topics include important skills such as obstacle independence, sends, useful verbals, backside independence, layering, threadles, evolved discriminations, setting lines with obstacles in your path, new lead out trends, useful distance skills, and more! We will focus on teaching the dogs how to execute the skills as well as teaching you how/when to cue them on course.
And the best part? You can train all of these skills with just one tunnel and 3 jumps! This is perfect for smaller spaces. Each week, you will get 3 new skills to train with progressive exercises and games designed to train full understanding and then present the skill in the context of a sequence. We will also present options for expanding the skills sets if you have access to more equipment such as contacts and weaves.
