[AU-042] Transition To Trials: Verbals On The Run!

Let’s help your dog understand how to respond to verbal cues when both of you are moving fast and running hard! This hybrid class provides an amazing training opportunity!

You’ve taught your dog a variety of verbal cues to indicate turns and lines… but when things get exciting and you are running hard, he doesn’t seem to understand or respond. Perhaps you want to improve independence and commitment, or better understanding at a distance? These fun games will build your dog’s understanding by training clear criteria, and helping the dog learn to process verbal cues independently of your motion or position!

And the best part is that all you need are 2 jumps and a wing to help you teach these great turn skills! This is a perfect ‘small space’ class to help you transition your skills to the trial ring in a big way.

This class features a series of multi-level games, covering the following skills:

  • Wraps
  • “Soft” turns
  • Go Lines And Extensions
  • Serpentines
  • Backsides Slices And Wraps
  • Threadle Slices

You will also have the opportunity to participate in our five Training Night Chats!

  • Monday, February 7 at 7pm Eastern: I will introduce the first set of games and answer questions to help get you started.
  • Tuesday, February 15 at 7pm Eastern: This Training Night Chat will provide follow up – you can have your questions answered live, and you can also play a video clip of your training for discussion and feedback!
  • Monday, February 21 at 7pm Eastern: This Training Night Chat will introduce the second set of games and answer any questions about the previous games or the new ones. You can also play a video clip of your training for discussion and feedback!
