ParticipantSorry! I was late on the Zoom call. I didn’t notice it was 7pm Eastern time. I will have to watch the recording when it’s up!

ParticipantThanks. I reviewed the video again, but we aren’t doing a full teeter yet. Can you advise other ways I can teach the 2o2o when doing initial training for the teeter? Can I just put the MM in front just out of reach? Sometimes I train w one end of the teeter propped on a table and he starts fr the table top and runs down. Sometimes I train w him at the bottom while I hold the other end and let it down gradually but I’m not sure how to do 2o2o without using a target and a nose touch.

ParticipantTracy, I’m trying to find the video where you were practicing on the teeter but can’t seem to locate it. Please point me in the right direction.

ParticipantI’m a little slow to the party and figuring out this forum. 🤪
I really enjoyed the Zoom session the other evening as well as all the classes so far. As I brought up in the call, I am struggling with my 20month old Bichon bolting on me during class when he sees something more exciting going on. Rush is very smart and learns very quickly. A lot of my issues are handler related too I’m sure. He hates walking on leash and pulls most of the time. I’m struggling with breaking that habit.
I’m also struggling with contacts and getting through my head when to treat. He usually looks up at me before he does the nose touch and doesn’t touch the target completely. My instructor wants me to try with the MM to get his focus more forward but I’m sure he will just go straight for it rather than doing the 2on 2off first. I probably avoid practicing this the most because I just can’t seem to get it. -
