yea, it was nice out and I gave in to the temptation to let everyone stay out while training.

We worked on lefts and rights last night in the den. He is so funny!! Turning to the right,he does a reverse tornado, spinning up as he turns right. Left definitely needs more help.

I had the manners minder at least 10 ft away from the last jump. I thiught even further than
that. Maybe setting him up closer to the first jump will help. I’ll check it out today.

The progress we made with his weakness with left turns has taken a hit with our crate rest.
I decided to go back to barrels with the wraps since he had so much trouble in class with the wings. It’s obvious from this session that it’s the left turns and not the wings that were our issue.

His stays also took a hit. I ended up having Jamie hold him for the wind in my hair sequence. This morning I also practiced stays with all 3 dogs using your method. He did well. I didn’t include that video, but I did video.

He is cleared for take off!! seriously, no restrictions. I am doing shoulder strengthening exercises but otherwise, he is good to go.

I will make the changes with positioning when we work today.

    Thanks,

    Carrie

WE’RE BACK!!!!!!! I was really pleased with his focus and switching between toys and food. I need to buy more cheese balls to avoid the grass searching. ..

    yay!!!!!!

We had a great time!! I was having a little FOMO— but so exciting to watch sibs Voulez and Roux and other friends giving it their all. My goal is to get myself in better shape and work our distance and layering skills in preparation for the Open this year.

Jessica wants us to have an all sibs reunion at the West Coast Open. I don’t know if I can make that happen- over a 30 hour drive but how much fun would that be!!!

Question– I use the verbal “switch” to support my rear cross.

Technically it is a turn away from me but thinking Week 3 switch away is more a turn away on the flat and a different verbal would be in order. Yes?

    >>>>>I agree with Jamie that you were in her landing space at :55 when she took the bar,

I felt the same, that I was in her space. We also had a discussion about my codependency tendencies-i.e., wanting to help too much.

    >>>>had decel and clear upper body cues, and she nailed it. You also had good decel at 1:40 and on the last rep (good coaching, Jamie!

I would like to work toward her performing a threadle wrap with less help from me so I can keep moving forward and not so much decel.

    >>>>using your backside push verbal, but you were standing in the threadle position so the threadle slice cue might make more sense

haha, Jamie called me on that too and as soon as she started to say something, it hit me that I used the wrong verbal.

    Thank you!
