Video is long— did a few things and then some combos.

Long time no see!! I have trouble restarting when I’ve had to take some time off in a class.

Thought- Roulez suckles on a mat at home in the evening. Think it would be useful in a trial setting? She is very calm outside the ring… it’s only when we walk through the gates when the arousal level is visibly heightened.

Need to go read some games and figure out where we need to start

Do you tell them to chill or only invite them up

We need help with engaged chill. like serious help. SURPRISE!!!!!! maybe I need to step it back to the house. In between training sessions, we did a few tricks and then I tried petting her. Ugh. she jumped and circled and ran to frisbee and stared at it, ran back to me.

would training a verbal chill defeat the purpose?

Worked this am on independent wraps. Rights better than lefts– too much movement on my part and throws too wide.

Do you think it would be a mistake, or helpful, if I taught Roulez to bark on cue? With one of my first dogs, it did help with the spontaneous barking. Although most info on training says it doesn’t work. I know some of her barking is excitement but also frustration from whatever is going on not being fast or clear enough.

btw, both dogs got the Let’s go down!!

So beautiful here this weekend. soft turns/serps and a sample of backside wraps. Backside wraps- more like what you were describing?

I’m so glad we didn’t work on backside wraps this afternoon because we struggled with simpler stuff!!

Soft turns- all she wanted to do was go, go, go!!!!!
