ParticipantSame here. I’ve had some delays a d I’m behind but will try to get some videos up. I do have some questions about the discussions though. There are quite a few typos in the forms and some of the video links don’t go to the videos that say they do (there is a video you say is the first Novice JWW class but it only opens another training video). I’m finding it a bit difficult to follow sometimes with all the typos. Where exactly is the reinforcement supposed to be thrown for just the 2 poles?

ParticipantI’m Laura and always late to the party. 🙂 My dog is Grendel, a 4 y/o BC who I’ve been trying to teach weaves for the past 3 years. He’s my 6th agility dog and by the far the most difficult yet. Over the years training techniques and styles have changed and I’ve tried to change along with them, but I’ve struggled with how best to show Grendel the basics of weaving. In addition, he’s had some behavior and maturity issues to get through so that’s slowed down training. I’ve had a few friends help me along the way in regard to his weaves…he stayed with a friend while we vacationed this past summer and it all finally seemed to click. He’s been able to perform 12 poles successfully. My purpose for enrolling in this course is to refine his skills and make sure he truly understands what weaving is all about. My goal of course is for him to be able to perform the weaves without my intervention or “babysitting.”
