Thanks for your great positive feedback. It has been challenging for me (mentally) to have my wonderful puppy have melt downs…. of course my melt downs that followed (never near him) were pretty intense. After 40 years in dogs (conformation) the last few years have been eye and brain openers in learning to read my dogs. I have discovered things in the last few months in my older dogs that I never noticed before. Better late than never but a little bummed it took me this long. LOL.
Will continue to work on training videos and will work on finishing Max Pup 3 and will move on into 4 as I already have it as an auditor.
Class and training…. he does know the rewards are coming often and I did think he might have realized after his first weekend of trials (he did great on his first weekend) that he was not getting the rewards during his runs and did not understand why.
I also realized in my videos that I was calling his name to get him back to me and it was often and sounded harsh. I learned a lot from my videos but did not ever hear the noise from the other ring. Thanks for the heads up.
We will be playing FEO and having fun with a toy and positive verbals and making it fun this coming weekend. I am so glad I send this message to you today as I have changed my plans for the upcoming trials, all FEO while I concentrate on my other Pap Gibbs. Who I might do your online summer camp with.
Thanks again for all your feedback and knowledge.

Since today is the last day to submit video I to say thank you for all you feedback. I got totally behind on my videos the last 4 weeks. Sad face. Not sure if I should repeat MAX 3 as a worker or just keep going and finish Max 3 on my own. My question is do you suggest another course I could take that I can send videos and get feedback for Seren. He is still not on contacts but doing great on jumps, tunnels and doing 12 weaves but still using gates (similar to wires). He had some shut downs at his last trial ( only doing novice fast and novice jumpers) he would do a few obstacles and then go visit ring crew and after restart he would do a few more and then go sit near score table and refuse to rejoin me on course. Going to a CPE trial this coming weekend where I will run all runs for FEO and take his toy and make it fun. I have included a video of one of his runs. The weekend before he ran great and we just had a great time. At home and at class he is fine and loves training. Adolescence has arrived. I hope it is ok that I included this video here. Goal right now is to make it fun and let him run. I was pretty upset with the shut downs because he was running and having fun just the week before. Will work on taking the pressure off and making it all fun again. I just watched this video again and it makes me cry that I have over faced (lack of better words) my wonderful puppy but have been home for a couple weeks now and he is loving training still and begs to go out on train. So I haven’t totally broken him but need to definitly be aware of his mental state and what he can handle at all times.

Yeah, outside today. Here is our first attempts at the BC to front cross back to tunnel. Our second attempt first half is decent but when I tried to change sides my brain just could not get it right. It is also a bit long as I tried just walking it and since it was recording (after yesteday’s mess ups) I just kept it recording. Almost embarrassing. So my plan tomorrow if weather allows is to walk this by myself many more times and then I think I will try using my older retired dog first as I do not want to confuse Seren. He is doing his best and since I am running him this weekend in Novice JWW and novice fast it will all be straight forward so going to give him a break from the more intricate stuff for the rest of this week.

Sorry this one is so long…. you can skip through the middle where I am trying to figure it out.

Another day of fighting with phone and remote so missed a couple of takes on the threadle wraps to the left but got at least one. Then I tried to the right… oh my I did not realize I have not been doing both sides as much as I should and I have trouble with my hand cues and timing to the right. And Seren also turns better to the left than the right and I am not helping that by my neglect to do both sides more. Lesson to myself. So here is what I did get on video today. About half of what I tried to do. LOL.
We also worked on his target (found a small round shelf liner type piece and work him on the flat and then on the board. My timing is not always perfect and he is looking at me instead of the target but all in all I like the progress for his future teeter end behavior.

On this video I say now we will try the left side. and it is actually the right side.

This video is us working on his position on the plank.

Not sure you will get to these before you go offline tonight but thought I would get them sent as I hope to do some catching up this weekend. Hope you are doing something fun! On the contact position he had not done a target plate much so worked on it at his bed time 1 minute cookie work outs. I was pleased he opt to give me two paws and kind of a bow at the target as that is the position I want on the end of the teeter… so when I put in on the board today I only end up with 9 seconds of video. But will say it was a good session and he understood to get on board and then the game would begin.
The second video is a short session of tantum turns.

Thank you for letting us submit multiple videos of our exercises. I am working still on wingin it on 3 wings and finally got 2 more videos to download…. and have a couple more to retrieve from my husband’s phone when my said full. I had trouble going to the left side after the tunnel as you will see in video 2. I am going back to your video to refresh and will try again today then need to move forward with the next set of turns and work on the contact games.

    EDIT:
I just went back and watched your video Wingin’ It: Tunnel To A 3 Wing Ladder! change sides and realized I was trying to do what I think were tantum turns. So will set this up again tomorrow and try again. LOL.

Trying to catch up after a week of company and a workshop today that left me deflated and felt like the class idiot when I could not do a blind cross. Hope CB is doing better and will get to run again soon. Safe travels wherever you are off to next. So here are some videos of the wingin it exercises. I don’t have enough brain power tonight to even personal critique them but at least I finally got most of them downloaded.

I have a couple more that are still trying to download so will try again tomorrow. Thanks for your time and patience.

First I want to say I am so sorry for your and CB “Bad Luck Invitational”. And you are amazing, doing all you do to help put it on…. plus run your own dog… and still have time to review our videos. Take care of yourself and CB first.
I went back review some lessons from 1 and 2 and the reviewed the go on, rear and backsides from Maxpup 2 so have included it here. I also worked on wingin it with 2 wings and 3 wings and had lots of oops. Bad timing on physical and verbal cues but having a real bad time getting videos to download to Youtube so am just sending the review videos of go, rear and backsides. Just couldn’t battle the slow internet-you tube issues today. Hope you are having some retail therapy and CB is getting what ever physical therapy he needs.

we worked on wingin it tunnel to wing wrap to FC to tunnel. Some of my crosses were late but did make exit connection. Forgot to do the spin so will get that one on Friday too.

This afternoon we attempted the ladder game with 2 wings. Well I think Seren and I missed the back side wrap training in the previous camps. So will go visit them. So for today we just broke it down a bit more before moving on.

Finished up the wingin it counter motion exercise. I think we did ok considering I am a bit brain dead after a conformation dog show weekend and company all week. No critique from me…LOL…just glad I was able to start and stop the video. Seren as usual did his best for what he was getting from me. He also had a good weekend at the dog show going reserve both days to much more mature dogs. Love this little guy.

Winging it. This was much harder on my brain then my wonderful puppy. It is a lot of thought process for me to get the right verbals and motion. I think we did ok…. maybe more motion from me after I send him. He is committed but I am not moving much. There are two videos and this will be it for this week… Headed to a conformation show where Seren needs to stand still and let the judge touch him and the trot without prancing. (that is a tall order for Seren) He thinks the stand still and trot pretty stuff is DUMB. I am taking my cato plank with me so will try and work on our contact homework.

Straight lines 4 ways. We did this yesterday and I thought we had great connection and my timing was good. But NO video. Then we did it kind of without planning today and my timing and communication was off so poor Seren was not sure of which way to go. I think I was just not on and for sure my timing and connection was off but will wait and appreciate your evaulation. https://youtu.be/OC77ZNPAzWg?si=BXw-dy1MUtFJGp6M

A quick impromptu practice since the wonderful hubby did mowing of the standard side of field first. Hence the back ground noise. So I jumped in set up the fluffy rear cross that we had done indoors but now spaced it out more outdoors. I thought the first one (left side) was good then the right side I was too far up the line for him to get ahead of me to signal the rear. But got it on second try but I am in trouble as it does not look like a rewarded him after the first try. I like his commitment when he knows where he is going.

Then we did the right side again.

Then the RC to a BC to tunnel. I was way to far ahead on first try and still a bit ahead on second try but got up the line for the BC before the tunnel.

Sorry for the background noise but when the amazing husband takes his day off to groom my agility fields we just get it done. And cudos to my rock star puppy who is not bothered by the noise or the mower in the other field. He never ceases to amaze me.

Thanks for all your input. I did redo the BC to tunnel exercise today with a friend here to help…. but she was watching my timing but was not videoing (is that a word) but my timing was much better plus I had more confidence he was going to take the BC jump. It was really nice. But of course I have nothing to show you. Then we worked on the look forward. My friend was videoing and helping and she sent me each video seperately…9 of them… so I made a playlist and hopefully it works. But I did not try to get them in order but figure you can see where the wing was placed. The first closer to jump attempts she did not get but you can see the progression. My take is my go go go are LATE. Put his committment was good. I put all 9 videos in a play list …. when it comes up click on the playlist in the upper right corner…. if this does not work I can put all nine short videos individually here.

The worst day for video….First it was not recording then I forgot to zoom out so only had tunnel and one jump in it. Then realized the remote has to be facing front of phone to turn on. So I really did the exercises before doing the whole BC to tunnel. I did the warm up send, the BC from 5 to 6 and the drive down the line. LOL. Finally got a video… several observations without doing a full critique…. I should have quit sooner. Fun bloopers… my arms going everywhere on the one attempt. Putting in a reverse spin. Realize I am going in too far on my one step sends and then not getting down the line to do a timely BC. We got some but they were not pretty. Also all the errors of course were mine…. baby was a rock star with information he was given.

Forgot to add his short bang is game. Question on the back up to hind feet on teeter…. if I want him to stop with all 4 feet on teeter would you still work the back up to rear feet on teeter?

My thoughts due to his small size I would like a rock back on the end of teeter…. and in his second mountain climber video (added here) at .19 is the behavior I would like and think would be safest for him. What do you think.
