Yeah we got to work outdoors today. I will need to work on getting in a bit closer and learn where to position my phone on the tripod. It is hard to see Seren (so little) when I zoomed out to get the jumps and tunnel in the frame. All a learning process for the person who does not video her training sessions.
First session of turn away. I tried to edit out the extra footage but gave up on that.

Here is his secomd turn away exercise.

Here is our first attempt at the whole BC exercise….. I was late and he did not read the BC. Second try was better but I am still late in turning for the blind. Sorry there is extra footage but to edit is just not happening today. It took me a bunch of tries to just get these short videos. Still trying to get better at the video stuff.

Here is our final attempt for the day as I was getting frustrated with my phone and the remote control so before I lost my patience we called it a day.

I promise I will get better at this so you can see just the exercises and not all the in between stuff. Today just was not the day for me to deal with it. Darn decongestants make me irritable so just trying to stay positive with my pup.

Hello, I got way behind the last week (getting ready for our first trip since Nov) and plan to catch up this week. And I don’t know if this ok here but here is a video of Seren’s 2nd JWW run at his first official trial. Weaves will come with time. You don’t need to critique it but just wanted to share. He is going to be a rock star.

Let’s start with Seren is a little rock star. He gives his all now to get his partner to quit flinging her arms…. but better than the helicoper arms Robin Venemma use to tell me I had. I played the timing and committment game. Seren did great but at .07 I see my arm up as I send him to the #2 jump….he takes it with no trouble as I think my verbal was ok. Agin at .21 my arm is in air but my verbal was earlier and one step send helped. My arm is better for jump #3 and the tunnel. It was raining hard you can hear it on video. LOL.

Here is one of his wrap games (It is probably his 3rd try but I was having trouble with phone/video forgot to hit the little remote to start it. These are my first real attempts at critiquing my own videos (I have had critiques done but I have not done much more than watch my videos from trials and really just for enjoyment not education. (bad bad bad after many years in agility) So here is my critique of Seren’s wrap video. I really am here for you to critique but this time I am doing a critique and will see if I am close to what you see. Thanks for your patience. Here is the video followed by my critique.

Felt I was flinging my arm at .07 and verbal a little late (he still managed to take jump) at .21 are clear in air….verbal timing was better…. at .15 he looked at me as I was saying right but corrected himself at .16 and took the jump… at .18 my verbal was late so his wrap was a bit loose/wide….at .20 arm was up.. good boy my verbal was late (I have trouble with left and right verbals..LOL) next try at .47 arm was up and used wrong verbal (hup instead of left but the super star took the jump…. I like that I gave tunnel verbal before jump before the tunnel and he knew where he was going. So there is my critique. Look forward to yours. Hope this is ok…. really trying to get better at this… it has only taken me 15 years to finally do videos…LOL.

Did some more lazy game today and finally figured out using the tripod to get the whole area. Need to get outdoors. And I feel I am thinking about it too much at the beginning and delaying. Seren does ok with it but it looks like I am just standing there too long before I release him.

I am not feeling well tonight. Not thrilled with these videos but at least I am trying. Looking forward to working outside so we can add some distance.

Hi Brittany, I am a fitness trainer and I find lots of my balance discs really cheap at good will or second hand stores.

OMG first time on teeter (has small cato plank that tips but never been on real teeter) so pleased with his first introduction to Mountain climber. Only had a couple of minutes before a fitness client showed up.

2nd time on teeter…. 2 hours later this boy loves this game.

Thanks for the reviews. Yes the video was inverted. Still working on the arms… better than my original helicopter arms that I use to have. LOL. Here is first attempt at the plank. I think he did great. He is taking a day off and going to go walking today. He did 3 sessions yesterday as we had done weaves in the morning. He demonstrated a sequence for me pet agility class and then the sessions in the afternoon. I am telling you this to admit I felt I over worked him and too many treats. He was off last night and did not want to eat all his dinner. He would go all day if I let him but it is my job to recognize over load.

Do feel good at my first attempt posting videos here and realize I cut my head off in all of them and I could have done some editing but that is when my anxiety sets in. With the first set done I hope I can now keep up and will feel more comfortable video all my training sessions.

ok this is my first attempt at posting a video. The lazy game was harder than I expected.

I decided to add my first and second wingin it game to this post… I went back and watched your video of the game and then my video and realized I cut off my head in most of it so you cannot see if I am making connection. Will adjust next time.

The second wingin it 2 he had a little trouble with the right command but he got it the 2nd and 3rd time. He has just learned his soft right and left turns in the last 2 weeks so I am pleased he was able to do them in this game.

Please let me know if I should not put them all in one post. And I will work on my phone position in the future.

wow miracles do happen.. I did videos again. It was hard to get the whole set up. I need to find a way to get it from above but for now this is what I got…. I tried to get the part where the handling takes place. I did video my first tries and I see some of my errors. Gibbs did awesome. First video I used said tunnel before the wing (LOL) and did not even give my verbal for jump on the first try at the jump. Am I using too much body movement since we are suppose to be working on verbals? And on position 2 and 3 I start out in the right position but looking at videos I move out of the position after the first try. And am I suppose to be moving more on position 2 and less movement on position 3? Will give this another try tomorrow and the get Combo number 2 a try so I can move on to Week 2.

Ok… I actually took some videos and downloaded them and are submitting them. This is a big deal for me… this causes anxiety. But here are 3 videos of Week 1 verbals only exercises.
I thought these went pretty good but I have trouble with my reward markers as I am just learning to use different ones. A new concept for me. Max puppy class is teaching me a lot.
On the tunnel only video you cannot see my head so you cannot tell if I am looking at the dog but I am.

I have a telephone call with Dr.Leslie Eide tomorrow morning and will make an appointment to see her ASAP. I had thought of doing her puppy evaluation even before this happened. She is about 3 hours from me so very doable.

Good news radiologist saw nothing in x-ray. I got the report but have not talked to my vet…. but think it may be a soft tissue issue… maybe just tweaked himself playing and zooming. Will do 5 days of the meds… then light exercise for at least a week and then re-evaluate.

Thank you Tracy for taking the time to send me some helpful ideas.
The only MAX pup games I am going to use is “Take a Breath” and I need that too…LOL… I am pretty stresses and worried. Being left over the weekend waiting for the radiologist report is very mentally taxing.
I do have some puzzles and will find or buy a snuffle mat. He is doing good if with me and will do quiet time in crate a couple times a day. Then his little pen right beside my couch is working well too. Also my 12 year old pap is his best buddy and the old man will lay with him in the pen to keep him company.
    He also likes his antlers.
I don’t think there is a lot of pain and right now he is on Gabapentin and Medicam and since they maybe blocking some of the pain I am being super careful about keeping him inactive. He would go running and playing if allowed.
Today he will get his first lazer treatment.
    Thanks for all your help.
    Dixie and Seren.
