ParticipantHi!
We had fun with this one. But I think my timing is late.Anne Smith
ParticipantHi again!
Here is the second attempt at pinwheels. We did more reinforcement after the second jump and then
I also tried counter motion and I think she’s getting faster.Anne Smith
ParticipantHi!
Here is take 2 of her grid. On the video I posted last time, I was using the remote as a reward. It was probably about 10-12 feet away because I don’t have much space to get farther.
This time I used a toy. By the 3rd and 4th attempt she wasn’t even going to the toy and instead was choosing a bunch of leaves as her reward. Still leaping some but I think she’s starting to get it.Anne Smith
ParticipantAlso for the grid I kept the last jump as a single and bar on the ground since she is only 10.5 months old.

ParticipantHi again,
Striding Grid
1. Oops she self released! But I was not connecting during the lead out.
2. 15 feet
3. 18 feet
4. 21 feet – can’t fit it all on the screen! Will try setting the jumps farther back in the yard next time.Anne Smith
ParticipantHi!
Send and go pinwheels. After watching the video I realize I am really flinging my arm, but I did try to have more connection.Anne Smith
ParticipantHi again,
>>when you say GO she looks at you – is her name pronounced MO-chi as in MOE rhymes with GO? I wonder if she is confusing the two sounds? So maybe keep the GO as the forward cue in agility and use “Chi” as her attention/name cue?
Yes her name rhymes with go and no. I didn’t really think of that when naming her. But I think she responds better to her name than my go cue, so I think I should change the go cue instead. At times I think she checks in with me no matter what I am saying, but it would be good to have more clarity.
Also you mentioned helping with a warm up routine. I don’t have a good physical warm up routine. I just have been doing some attention exercises. What do you suggest?
Here is our progressive grid. I only have 4 jumps so had to improvise!

ParticipantHi Tracy,
I had to switch to dropping the food in the bowl later and that has helped her not to be so sneaky!
Here is our mini pinny. It has taken quite a bit of work on the verbals and I still feel I had to give more of a physical cue.

ParticipantHi Again,
We struggled a lot with deceleration this week after doing so well last time. She kept sneaking away to self reward at the treat bowl.
Also still working on the new mini mini because of the same problem of just going for the reward!Anne Smith
ParticipantHi,
We finally got success on the rear cross in the second sequence here! Then I tried it turning to the right instead of left and she got it right away! Yay!

ParticipantHi Tracy,
>>Do you notice any disengagement when you played with the toys, like you did here? Things to look for to find a pattern – was it food only? How long was the session? Did she have failure(s) before the disengagement
She is definitely more engaged when we play with toys. I think she is more engaged when I tug with her, but that usually only happens if I reward her with the toy from my hand. If I toss it, she wants to play keep away. When she comes to me, I usually trade her a treat for the toy. She also disengages after failure and when I am trying to mentally regroup.
Here is our rear cross work. Have not been very successful so far. I did do some go work for extension but it’s not on the video. It also took me a few tries to realize I should put the camera at the other side of the yard! Sorry the first runs are cut off at the tunnel end.

ParticipantHi Tracy,
Here is our work on deceleration. I think she is doing well with it.
I have noticed that she is getting more disengaged from me and sniffing the ground more lately (I cut these parts out of the video). Sometimes this seems related to me giving her a food reward so I don’t know if she thinks she dropped it. Maybe I just need to keep sessions shorter?Anne Smith
ParticipantHere is our turn criteria wraps video. I don’t think she is listening to my verbals yet. Sometimes we have success and sometimes not.

ParticipantHi!
Here are threadles and one serpentine. Trying to keep my shoulder open.Anne Smith
ParticipantWe tried backchaining the ladder grid.
