Thanks for a lovely class! One of my classmates is looking for an agility behavioral vet consult virtually, know anyone good?

Super pleased with this run but any suggestions in the beginning pinwheel to not take that extra jump is this just a more reward and practice moment? Thanks

Find my face does it matter if he returns to front or side?

The toy is working nicely so I’ll continue to build that up…

Looking for suggestions we are doing better in standard because the contacts (1q over weekend and 1 almost) feels more defined do X struggling in JWW to stay connected… this is from this weekend obviously lots of distractions… in practice would it help to run with reward in hand or ???

Next up pattern games with no cookie

I spent training night time playing with friends. I’ll watch the recording. He loves all his classmates so overall I thought he did really well here. I would like to figure out how i can get him back when he “zones out” sniffing that is really hard to compete with…. I tried to keep it as close to NFC for the first bits with his friends in the ring. He did tug on his toy for reward not sure that got captured on the video… the hardest part for me was he won’t let go without a cookie so something to work on for if he decides to tug at a trial. I did pay some setup cookies and in between cookies.. The second part with no people was after a long sleep my older dog Lily is back doing Master/Exc JWW when she feels like it so i had her run some weaves in between.

Agree it was a new place for both of us. I hope to go back. Yep he is much faster at trials 🙂 we haven’t had class due to the rain but it’s on my list to do.

We’ll file this under Abby learned I was slow turning and he took advantage of the off course. I was pleased in general he came back and had a good time. Super pleased with the start line standard was better I led out sideways (new for me and a duh moment). The weaves were hard for all so maybe blue poles are hexed 🤷‍♀️

The trial was one day only so we are both resting up. The toy in the ring will create focus for him but he won’t play with it. He did play with it once or twice outside the ring after the run and I paid very well.
Will continue the games as you suggested.

Decided to return the Frisbees he was so high drive and over arouse it almost cost me a finger. He also wants to chew them and not return them so I’ll keep testing and offering other toys. Maybe one day the rubber frisbee will return.
