Thanks that first rep for me was ouch turns to the left still hurt… He was distracted on the last rep the neighbors were banging a heavy metal object. I will change up my rewards it’s been different lately since I’ve been trying to be GI friendly. What’s a good lesson to work on next week?

    Have a great day!

Well I still can’t run so all the mistakes here are mine but I was pleased to see him enjoying jumping… I’ve never been very good at doing fronts or blinds with any kind of planning. Hoping I’ll feel at least a bit better next week class on Monday had lovely runs with nice distance.

So I’ve setup one jump and my tunnel inside anyway to practice the fuzzy bind and front in a compressed manner before taking it outside? And yes Merlin is feeling better. Thanks!

Well the best laid plans Merlin was sick last week so no outside rental. It is raining today so I thought we would try the lazy game with treat hugger inside. Here are some reps I thought by the last one he finally got the idea of chewing quickly:-) planning to play outside on Wednesday I hope for the fluffy lesson and the lazy game again hoping I don’t start a zoom with toy cycle we will see.

Makes sense about the motion I will try for less/no arm when we are closer together and using the arm for distance even when I’m well I’m often behind 🙂 I went back to look at this course the last one we ran when I was well and I think he liked the spread and running so hopefully we can work towards compressed jumps are fun.

    Thanks

I’m not quite up to running it band injuries are the worst and I suggest you don’t ever do that to yourself. Anyway I tried to do the pinwheel and I numbered the middle wing backwards so Merlin did what I asked whoops… the lazy game looked better on film after the fact he struggles to find white food without a whole lots of sniff and huh… it was crazy hot so I got 1/4 speed Merlin… I have ring time again Wednesday and I hope to try the fluffy crosses on Tuesday inside. I can do them but I do them on accident vs on purpose.

Ok dokie will keep trying. I think on the last rep I was tired too so I’m not consciously trying to help but it is hard to watch him and run etc… What is response to missing a pole in a set of 6?

The chair will come back need to work that inside… outside he finds that boring and wanders… the last bit is after playtime so he was a bit decharged

Yep I will sit back in the chair again especially after the trial next weekend I will probably be stiff so convenient chair time 🙂 for the offside entries where does the chair go to start same place you would stand or ?

    Thanks!! 😊

Notes from my one day at the trial he did great on the teeter and by the last run was rocking it. Open ring gates are a pain I’ll be happy to see that go away with covid. Merlin says his theme song is you got a friend in me… anyway when you listen to this turn down the volume my PT clicks sound like a gun going off even though we couldn’t hear them when my phone recorded and connected to the PT whoops… I was paying really well so I tried to edit most out…

I was pleased with how this went will try offside after this upcoming weekend I have another trial so I didn’t want to do too much today… looking at my hands seemed to also improve after showing him I had nothing.

I did a couple where we took a run at the weaves together, I thought he would find it fun.., I felt in his way suggestions for running the line but not being in the way that’s new for me with Lily I’m either a) behind no chance to catch up hoping for a miracle or b) slow down at one and finish together

Thank you!! I will eliminate my rut roh on wings… 😊😊

About the verbals – when using just a wing, I recommend only your wrap verbal (no backside verbal) – it doesn’t matter where the jump cups are because the dog is not really using those. I only use the backside verbal if there is a bar – the bar is what the dogs use to differentiate front side versus backside.

So what is the criteria for wrapping a wing half way around? Thanks for the bar reminder…

I assume all mistakes are mine 🙂

Will open the poles and see what happens what is a good starting point for how open?

    Thanks!!

Drink caffeine prior to reading and watching.

I did a wing inside to work on wrapping and I think it’s getting better for me insert smart dog dumb human here. I think I forgot ques so backside vs wrap I think I’ve refreshed on. Still slightly difficult is to get the wrap and body side into weaves corresponding…

Suggestions welcome I know I’ll never have all the verbals you have it makes my brain hurt but I want to be as clear as possible on what I do use…

Part 2 literally oh shit the first part of this session ended with poop in the ring so I did edit so you don’t have to hear my poo monologue and my is your brain not engaged today… Also edited some play and other bits out.

Pre poo did I do something to accidentally make the entry the wrong side in the beginning of this?

After poo the reward is a toy (he selected) and some food. I learned a lot here I think…
    -speed creates dysfunction with weaves
-distance and the start line might be unfair I think he’s coming to me to go on how do I que the weaves, would an arm help? I don’t want to stop/slow him down too much? The last rep was slower and better 🤷‍♀️

Going to try the wing again does it matter which way the jump cups go I get confused how far around is enough and all the other things make my head spin a bit… I also want to try going with him jump jump weave on a non muddy day…
