Boundary equals place chair in the ring when practicing… safe place to chill and be rewarded. Since I use a Klimb at home those things have great value…

Thinking an attention noise could help me party with me when boundary is not an option? Do you have a cool noise class 😂

I have found an upcoming USDAA in June and I have 4 days in May to play at AKC Trials…

Toys we are working on playing with them outside my house. Currently we love them when we do or nope I’m not interested… for AKC toys can’t leave the handler…

Since camp is in June I’m going to ask this here in hopes of starting work on this earlier. Scenario is joyful zooms I don’t mind them but I’d like to do agility lol… I’ve gotten to the point where a boundary in practice makes a good highly valued +R transition/reset however that won’t work in a trial… thoughts ideas? If this doesn’t make sense let me know, no caffeine yet today 😀

Yes it does have a bungee on it… I’ll live I purposely selected his breed for smaller size and extra strong… works well for me when we are out and about and he’s working… agility and tugging like a crazed dog I normally just let go if it’s too much or throw a handful of food down… but that may come to get me if I run feo…

LOl bottomless pits maybe I’ll quit measuring food on class days…

Ok dokie! About the toy he loves to tug inside high arousal pull me over if I’m not mindful… but this is the first time in a long time where tugging outside was engaging and fun… have you had a dog act offended when you offer a tug? I’ve been just saying ok and offering food… I’m not in the hard over tug camp I just know sometimes he might be full of food so options are nice… Thoughts?

So apparently I live in a UKI trial desert 🙁 what was the other org you like? Also when adding weight to the teeter for a different experience which end gets the 1 pound weight and which positions again? Thanks

The akc rule book is such a bore here’s a nice summary

How much room between sets 1 and 2 when I have more space? He seems to do better closer together… I ran out of kibble paying for a boundary tunnel combo game. Let’s just say using cheese was interesting. It’s hard to count and distracting for him lol…

The end of the part 2 was and experiment in hind sight I probably should have messed with the other side 🤷‍♀️

Oh and a follow up question once your dogs are great at 12 weaves. Do you ever come back and play 2×2 games to have weaves that have less of a physical impact?

Well it’s pouring buckets here today so inside it is. I had cookies leftover and I think he did really well; especially since we were out and about today so that meant good manners and kibble on the go for most of the day. Two videos one for each part of the clock. Let me know where to go next stay here or ?

    Thanks!!

Just expectation setting for myself can you make it all the way around the clock with 8-10 cookies? If not that’s cool just curious.

Ok I think I’m following left vs right opening vs straight. Second set of poles still open… I will work back to a 8-10 cookie rule/session should shorten the time.

    Thanks!!

Well I think we both had Spring fever today before it rains again. The first video I really wanted to say yay for the offside so it went longer. And I forgot where to hide my treat hand… finally remembered behind my back will do… He rested in the car while I played with Lily the second video is after the brain soak time. Fast forward thru anything boring I didn’t edit. The tutor took the day off I could not get my stuff together as I was leaving… mental note clear bowls do not film well 🙂 it will be back… it was educational to know my movement can impact him without the tutor… I did fake him out some because I wanted him to move forward without me… I don’t even know what to say about Merlin choosing his own side for sending… just finished watching the threadle video for this week just now so nice to know E is also offended 🤣 I can’t tell you how much I love authentic teaching…

Have a great night and best wishes as you hit the road again.

Next practice day probably Thursday/Friday depends on the weather.

Setup the same and adding some motion. I think I actually said need to ask Tracy for some of the stuff typed below…

A bit longer than I wanted I was trying to problem solve for myself and for him. I didn’t intend to close the poles up but I was having trouble judging the reward/in the poles etc… with the second set angled… and I was trying to figure out if he forgot how to threadle. I think he did so can I move the tutor back or ? This is my last weave practice for this week so if you leave some guidance for next week will give it a go.

I’m going to think thru your email and try a session over lunch to see if I can connect the dots… more later.
