ParticipantHappy Monday!!
Dean is doing really well with wraps. Here we went outside and did a flower pot and a large primo pad. What we don’t do super well with is still the toy chases. It’s getting better (and my apologies some of that was out of frame) but if I run here he kind of jogs with me. If I introduce food it’s all about the food he will go with me to the toy but won’t engage with it. That’s actually a little better before he would just sit and wait for food. https://youtu.be/rPtGiIO4KtI?si=dLCZfeCK_AVqnlNWaussielvr
ParticipantOk this may be weird but the woman with the standard schnauzer July at Dash says hello and the dog at the July seminar is Deans father lol
We tried this it’s our first go at it. He started doing really well with the collar but then at the end he was like oh noooo. So I’ll go back to more collar grabs and tossing a cookie behind me for him to come back into position. I think I knew that in my head and then didn’t do it.

ParticipantOmg so far behiiiiiiiind
Focus forward – Trying to work on delaying. And lo and behold the cat provided a distraction so I didn’t run with him. I’ve tried running and more than a few steps he runs to the toy but doesn’t pick it up. He’s doing really well with the focus I think. Tried food to get him to drop toy and boy does he drop it and then doesn’t want the toy right away again. For now I’m just waiting him out. I think it’s a little better.Do I need to post video of one game and then move to another game. I am trying to train a lot of things but I don’t want to get confused. Thanks!

ParticipantThank you! He is a very fun puppy, we are really enjoying him
We worked on focus forward. I struggle with him dropping the toy when asked. We are also playing with 2 toys on either side of the body which helps when one is active he drops and goes. But one toy he isn’t ready to give up.

ParticipantI have a separate question – for the food in the bowls on either side – we are doing Vito’s game for an in person class but in that we don’t cue we just let the puppy go back and forth and the energy is low and calming. I assume this is different? Since I’m not sure I’ve just been doing it with 2 toys which has been a lot of fun.
