Very happy with her progress 🙂 We are getting more excitement with the MM. I am using it to reward her in places she already finds exciting and where there is speed involved (it seems to be helping). Like two jumps into a tunnel where she is driving hard out of the tunnel.

So we had a GREAT session going, then I realized I did not hit the record button, so this is towards the end and she was a bit tired. https://youtu.be/fzUa2HDti58

Here is Gilley’s work! Pay no attention to her “terrier skip” she has been to the vet multiple times and they cannot find anything wrong with her. We have manipulated the leg under anesthesia and still nothing, nor any signs of atrophy in that leg compared to the other side…… Apparently several relatives do it as well…..

We did a lot of short sessions this week, cut back on her regular food quite a bit and used SUPER yummy treats. Here is what we got! https://youtu.be/R9qg33WglTE

I know, right!!! True story! I dropped a whole bowl of treats in the box right before I started our session :-0 !!! She is not super treat motivated (more toy), but we are experimenting with higher value food ideas!!!

    Hi Margaret!
So sorry for the delay!!! THOSE WERE AWESOME!!! Both very nice runs and it was awesome to see you RUNNING!!! GREAT WORK! You were working hard to get to each obstacle and really extending through the lines!!! The only thing I would say you needed to do is to accelerate to your blind cross! When you do a blind like that, I would like to see some great extension on your part!!! VERY VERY nice work!

    Hi Margaret,
Yes! All three of those reward scenarios are great!

YAY for you for breaking things down! You will be putting money in the bank when you do short sequences with lots of reinforcement!

Another great mental management course is the one that Tracy here at Agility University. Tracy was extremely supportive with Pepper and her thoughtfulness in the beginning. She kept telling me to be patient and things will get faster! Boy, she was right, and she was extremely happy for me when they did! I also like Kathy Keats work. She has represented Canada in three different sports on an international level. Just some ideas!

I will check the forum periodically through the end of the week. If I miss something, feel free to email me or message me on FB.

I SURE did, thank you so much! I will sit down and respond to it today 🙂

    Hi Laura,
Sorry for the delay, we were having internet issues yesterday!
This was really good! I love watching you and Peaches work together!! You have a lot of new tools in your tool box now 🙂
Couple things from the video, I want you to be a little more dynamic with your rewards. If you go back and watch the videos, you will see that Peaches comes in very nicely for the toy, but then things get a little boring. I would love to see you get down on the ground and really engage with her and connect with her. She has super toy drive and perhaps it was hot and you were tired?
I also wanted to mention that with the weaves, if I have a dog pop weaves 1-6 (entry problem), I go back to the obstacle before, if they pop 6-12 (exit issue), I go back to the beginning of the poles. I believe this clarifies things a bit for the dog.
Thank you so much for taking the class. I really enjoyed seeing Peaches become more confident and excited about working with you. Please let me know if you have any questions in the future, and best of luck 🙂
