ParticipantI actually got to run challengers with my 8 inch pref dog Potter and it was insanely fun and super challenging! Lines 8-14 were non-stop. I will say the whole course required a high commitment level from the dog.
Off of the teeter, I would have preferred to use the threadle, but unfortunately I did not do this. He has a tendency to be impatient on the teeter lol. Each tunnel was a send and if I remember correctly some may have even layered jump 18 which I was too chicken to do š. Unfortunately Potter got spooked by the dog walk judge and lost time on it. I was still super proud of him running clean!
Here is my run https://youtu.be/0bEB6QbQuDQ

ParticipantWe tried it and he was awesome!!! Not once did he take the tunnel! We quickly added distance! Wondering if my positioning is ok? Super happy with himš. Heās always such a good boy.

The Tasmanian devil aka āpromiseā will sit this exercise out till she is readyš. We still have lots of max pup to get throughš.Amy Wilson
ParticipantBreeze is back to 100 percent!!! Yay!
Backside- openings
I LOVE when courses start like this!!! I feel so fancyš.
This was great! Normally, I would stick close to wing and not move up the line farther and the threadle was even better than the FF! I was lazy and didnāt move my tunnel. It ended up exactly perfect for number 4! Score lol, hope you donāt mind.

ParticipantI think it makes sense! Going to go back and watch rocking horse in max pup!!! Max pup is the bomb! Yes, this puppy is going to make me the best dog trainer ever!!! So much to learn with her! She says no excuses and she learns so fast. Plus sheās fast and itās hard for me to process! Everything happens in high speedš
And another thing how did she end up with such a sweet namešš- sheās all Sass no sweet in thereššš„š„ā¤ļø.

ParticipantRocking horse wing wraps are not her thing! Help! For some reason they amp her up and frustrate her! I had gotten her out of it mostly, but here you can see it happening again! This happened with her very early at maybe 15 weeks? The good news is she didnāt grab my rear like she used too! Was it just too much with the tunnel challenge also? How do I fix this?! Why does this make her sooo mad?!?! I clued in and moved jumps further away.
Breeze
Edited to add- rocking horses with food mat. This is the previous way I got her from going to red zone on these. Maybe sheās not ready for the toy being so close in previous videoš§š§?! Canāt what to see what you think!

ParticipantTunnel discrimination
The reset cookie is working brilliantly for her. I was very, very happy with her today! I had been doing that some but not consistently. What a difference when she gets a cookie every time. I had a handler error I did not recognize and she did not get the toy reward and responded beautifully to the reset as she started to get aggravated. Explosion averted š!
She did beautifully with the discriminations!!! So proud of heršš!!
I was also super proud of her collar grabs!! She had been very adverse to collar grabs and would not previously work if the games started that way. She came with a strong dislike of her head/neck being touched. After many months working on it, We had abandoned them because she disliked them so much. Itās been a couple months since I had used it. Super happy with her response here!!!
Breeze is under the weather today š. We stayed home from the trial so he can restš.

ParticipantI think I did mess up my verbals lol!! I even had to refilm! I must have left a mess up in there! That is the reason I never used left and right before lol!!!
I didnāt trust myself.āThat was an interesting moment! Was that the first error? It wasnāt even really an error, just a question. It was a big frustration response, she was REALLY MAD hahaha If it was the first error, we can game plan to help her work through things when something doesnāt go her way – she can come back and do a trick for you, for example, for a treat. That can help relieve any frustration.ā
This little girl has such a temper lol!!! This was the first mistake! I left all the video in. She gets frustrated so easily and then goes super, super high! We took a breather from āagility specific trainingā for awhile just to work on her going so āRedā so fast! The break helped a lot but itās still a work in progress. She used to bite me on the butt. It hurt lol!!! Today, I think she thought she was playing the wing wrap game. She didnāt receive her reward like she thought she should and then temper tantrum lol!
I welcome any and all tips on this as I havenāt had a dog with her personality before! Itās definitely caused me to think A LOT and change my training! We are signed up for your reward class also! I canāt wait for that with her.All such great advice, again so happy to be working with you again!

ParticipantLesson two
So happy with Breeze and was super happy with his lefts and rights!!!Promise
We had trouble with easy part of the exercise and she rocked the hard part. Go figure! I think she thought it was the wing wrap game we play often and so she didnāt even try to look for the toy. She then became frustrated, I left that part in! Sheās not a huge fan of getting close to me to start an exercise. She loves to anticipate. We are working on this! I will take any suggestionsš. I was very happy with the wrap, tunnel, wing! What a big girl on this part!
Iām also a terrible throw. Iām trying lol, but Iām a work in progress.

ParticipantAll of that is fabulous advice!!! So excited to have a working spot with you again!!!
