Annalise and Prytania got to practice Monday night! It had a rained an hour or so earlier and did nothing to cool things down. It was super steamy!!! I was exhausted watching them 😂. They both did fabulous! Some confusion sometimes n handling but they worked it out and Prytania didn’t seem to mind at all! Tonight we will work on the rest of the wing’in it!

Raise your game week 4 sequences!

🥵🥵🥵🥵. It’s hard to go back practicing in the swamp after being in the mountains!!! I think I mention every summer I am a St. Louis Midwest girl lol!!! I am not meant for this humidity here 🥵🥵. I dream of my exit from here every summer 😂😂😂! My husbands office in Canada sounds amazing right now 😊😊!

On to the courses… we got some bars and some more bars and then some more bars😂. Time to get back to our jump work too😊! She has had almost a month off on those. I still agree that the bars are totally a processing issue with her!!!

Sequence one— got a drive by on the backside and I’m seeing some reluctance in her wanting to drive ahead a little here!

Sequence 2- missed the last jump of the layer the first time. Lack of connection on my part on that. A little question with the threadle wrap too. No surprise on that since those are a relatively new skill.

Sequence 3. I lowered the bars to 8 since we had previously been getting so many bars. Haha and I still got bars 😜. She ran the sequence well. I had a little brain fart on the second pass of the tunnel and caused her to go to wide there.

Happy to be back with my girlie!!! Sadly all the 7 mile hikes did nothing for my running speed but they sure were fun😂😂😜.

You are doing a fabulous job of pushing me out of my comfort zone this summer😂😂😂! Std 1 was every bit as hard and probably harder than std 2 for us. Which was really hard!!! I broke everything down into sequences and was not insane to try it all in one go😂😂!

1-4 Never got this right. When I was running it, I wasn’t sure why she was coming in for the off course pink jump. Because pink is her color?!?! When I reviewed my video, I realized that it did look like a serpentine to her and that maybe she was reading it as that? She did that on a sequence in the last trial too! She almost took me out to complete her off course serp lol!! Maybe this was the reason? Can’t wait to see what you think.
Long break under fans with coffee😊
5-11 the layered jump was tough but got it when I was in right spot!
Weave entry you can see me breaking down. And WOW she got it at the end!!! Amazing!!! I had a brain fart during all this on 8-9-10 and somehow got it in my head I was sending her to wrong side of 10 and it was the threadle. It was not lol! So ignore all that wrong side stuff. I was indeed doing it on purpose lol! Apparently not enough coffee on previous break!

Another break, I became so amazed that she did the weaves and found the tunnel, I temporarily forgot the pretty much the rest of the course which made me not as driven for the rear. I got a refusal😂😂😂 and I also forgot the backside at the end. I fell for the watching my dog weave beautifully 😂😂😂. The threadle was problematic and we got a drive by on the backside. We were brain dead after all this so will have to save for another day.

Std 2- we did this first. When I was able to be where I needed to be she did beautiful!!! She scared with her fly off on the Dogwalk. Not sure is she slipped or what. Grass was slippy this morning. I think the last two attempts I was later getting out ahead and that is why I got wrong jump.

Lots of incredible things from the baby!!!

We get a week off now! I’m going to miss her bunches this week🥰🥰🥰!!!

Since we were training the puppies, The big girls got to play too. unfortunately I missed your comments before I ran this, but I had a lightbulb moment when I saw Carrie layer it with roulez!!!
Sorry the camera is off on our first turn. It most have got shifted and cut some of the course out.

-The trick to this line is to send her all the way to 6 and then layer the 5 jump and the unnumbered jump so you can be up at 9-10 before she gets off the a-frame – then you can do a FC there (probably easier to connect with than the blind –

Honestly, I really thought she would need some additional training on me running so hard and so far away, but she did it every time. Wow!!!! What a superstar I have!!! And I felt like I had a lot of time with shortcut!!!

Then she wowed me again with her threadle!!! She remembered that from live class!!! I found I just needed to trust her on this and she got it!!! Getting the jump out of tunnel was our next hard point!! But we were getting better on it toward the end. I am soooo proud of her with this course! Wowza!!!

I work tomorrow and will hopefully get to tackle some of standard one on Friday. Then we leave for family vacation for a week (again❤️❤️). Our first time to Yellowstone😊.

I celebrated the run with another cappuccino ice cream😍😍😍!!!

Prytania and Annalise did such a great job here! I think Prytania really likes having her brother and mama over to train 😊❤️.
Wingin’ it countermotion. We got rained out with a storm that was not predicted and did not get to add the race track.

You out did yourself in challenges in week two std 2 lol!! Here is a little morning session breaking some of the hard elements down!!! Which is every bit of it😂😊. What a fun course😊!!! Love working on this stuff!!! 1-12

1-4. Haha of course we got the other tunnel, staring her straight in the face. Adding the threadle arm helped a lot. Still got some zig zagging… possibly maybe I need an earlier cue?

I substituted my 10 foot tunnel here on 4 (saving the 20 ft for Prytania tonight) which slightly changes the course to be a little bit easier on my end!!😜. On the map I would probably go to the left wing, but with my setup the line is nice to the right backside.

Having lots of trouble with the 7-11. Especially nine! Hauling butt on that 7-8 line and I just can’t get ther for blind! Having trouble with my connection there also. Trying not collide with the Dogwalk and send her to tunnel, very hard. For some reason I had in my mind she had bypassed this jump, but she did not. I think it was because I’m losing sight of her on that line.
Again I cheated with the course setup for the weaves. I moved two sets further down making it an easier layer for her so when she curls into me she hasn’t bypassed the entry yet.

This setup is going to be fun to play with for awhile 😊! I love those setups😊. Way more fun to run and train than setup courses lol!

Had two cappuccino ice creams yesterday! Oh my goodness! A coffee lovers dream 🥰🥰🥰.

Happy 4th of July!!! Today is a no jump day. Planning on working on week 2 standard 2 very soon and knew I needed to break down that weave entry! Hard hard stuff!!! Tell me if I’m on the right path. My idea after this session is to use my tnt and have it at the weave entrance to avoid the tunnel curl and get her to look for the weaves. Her looking at me coming out of tunnel was biggest issue this session.

Annalise was ready to train this morning! Gosh it was hard to pull out that tunnel bright and early this morning after getting in super late last night from the trial! I’m glad I did though because they did awesome!!! We only did three ways as she was getting tired 😊.

Edited to add… oh my the death look I got when I yelled “yes” and messed up sequence😂. Sorry Annalise!😂

RYG 2, this was hard. I’ll have to mark this down to revisit. Interested to see what you say. When isolating it not in sequence, I did not get as much looking at me as I did in the sequence. Maybe my “GO” jump was confusing to her there, since I had said go tunnel before.

Here is Annalise with two concept transfers. On the sends, susan and I wanted to toss the reward to encourage timeliness of the reward. When doing something new for Annalise, I think it helps her focus better on her handling task when I/we remove the element of tossing the reward too. I know I am always happy at a seminar for the instructor to take my toy away and toss it for me lol!!! I have enough circulating in my brain usually😂.

Prytania did really great with all the exercises and is really growing up! She’s starting to get the agility bug I believe 😊.
Haha, my comment of “too much connection” was in other words you were early 😊😂.

Annalise got better with her timing and Pry seemed to have the attitude of I’ll save you anyway sister, just give me my reward😊! Prytania read all the crosses really well and responded appropriately when things didn’t go quite right. She kept her head in the game😊.

I’m back!!! Had a blast in France! Such a great time😊❤️. Rather jet lagged and it’s so hot, thankfully Carrie and Susan talked me into practicing. I might have taken the summer off it’s so hot.

Had a little issue with looking at me coming out of the tunnel. Didn’t include the first video, but I had the tunnel setup slightly wrong at first, with it pointing much more toward the third jump which made this insanely hard lol. Rectified that slight Angle and we were successful after that . Video is after tunnel was changed😊. One pull off, then success. I’m not really sure what I should be saying fir this jump after the tunnel. You’ll hear me use various words lol!

Switch away gave us some trouble after that. She does know it, but always been a slightly harder skill for her and I. It also a skill we don’t use to often so we are a little rusty. I think she was really getting it at the end.

-What a difference a year makes – these courses are harder than last years courses (in terms of design challenges) and yet they are so much easier because you and Promise have gown so much as a team. I love this!! There were SO MANY great moments out there, just a technical spot or two that needed smoothing out. The vast majority of this session was lovely ❤️-

I felt the same!!! Such a great session😊! I was actually kinda shocked we made it to 13 😂😂!!! We’ve grown a lot!!! So proud of all our hard work! I’m getting to enjoy these glimmers of greatness a lot more frequently now😊❤️ and it’s an amazing feeling😊!

Then when I’m getting a big head (not really😂), this course walked into my life😂😂! Holy hell! Wow! We couldn’t even make it to 4😂😂. The first attempt was kinda crap. Promise was super excited as Sunday was rest day and this was Monday evening. I also didn’t walk it as much as I should have. A big thunderstorm was looming in the area and I was afraid I would get rained out. We did so great on the first std course. What can go wrong??!😜. Mistake number one lol! Luckily the rain passed to the north of us. After my first total flop I walked it again!

Try as I might, I could not get to where I wanted to be on this course. I did layer the two jumps, but I’m still in another time zone from her. I think I have concrete for legs. Promise let me know she was not happy with my lack of speed and info. We haven’t practiced that Dogwalk send in quite awhile. Haha it showed big time!!! I ended up breaking it down and life became much better. I decided to layer for the teeter. I’m not sure if I needed too. This morning, I took that away and I was just fine on it. May have made it harder than it had to be there. The next send to the tunnel also proved challenging. I’m sure it’s obstacle overload there. I think I was even getting distracted by all that surrounded us and maybe didn’t set the best line for her. The only thing that went great for us was 12-13-14-15. 16 the bar kept falling for the dig dig. Not sure why. Not usually a bar that gets knocked on a wrap for her. Then we get to 18 to the end. Wow, incredibly hard. So many off courses! We got the Dogwalk. We got the tunnel. If we got it correct to 21 then we got a hard look at the other end of the tunnel and she came off the line!! I would love to do a blind cross between 20 and 21. But it just isn’t happening. I tried the switch away which is a must weaker skill for us. I’m sure I’m doing things wrong for this!!! Help! My course I think is maybe a tiny squished here too, which makes it incredibly hard😂😂!

Despite, having so many mistakes, we did get the beginning much better!! Which I’m super proud of. The end still a total flop!! Ay e in a year 😂😂! It also highlighted I really need to work my tunnel sends from behind. This also popped up in uki a couple weeks ago as a weakness!!!

Also, leaving for France on Thursday for a week and will be falling behind. My oldest is doing a study abroad there. I had sooo much fun in Italy in the winter, I decided we should go visit her for a week😊! Very excited. Paris and Lyon. Taking all the kids. My husband gets to take care of the dogs 😊.

Standard 1– so fun!!! I purposely started out wanting to do it to 13 and then tried 14 anyway 🤪. I knew no way we were going to go to the end. Better to break it down. The rear cross extreme wrap is is most likely a new thing for her. Added to our list of things we need. That teeter coming out of the tunnel locks her focus on that too!

The rear cross on 14 to the ending was the devil for us lol!! The pink jump is just right there!!! So hard! Then we had trouble with the go on once I got her focused on me. So many good skills in this course. Lots of fun. Carrie came over to play with Rou. We both decided an aed in the backyard might be a good idea 🤣🤣🤣!

Good morning! Live class was so fun last night!

Here is sequence 2 with no obstacle distractions. Again, I thought it was hard enough without distractions 😂. We got a run by on the first backside ( I got it another time too I think not on video). Then we got it perfectly!!
Then, I decided to go one more time to fix my wider turn at the end, and then I just got the backside 😂. I think I’m going to have to put some effort into having her learn those threadles lol! I did not use the threadle cue, but probably should have.

Last night was a great information session on bars too! The bars fell at 8 too, just like 12! When things get tough, the bars will fall lol!

Also, a housekeeping note. My mental management course has not popped up on my course list and won’t let me access it.

Here is an example of the bars and me losing connection I believe. We did two days this past weekend. https://youtu.be/J1yMDDwcVPI

Also, I realized I said a verbal wrong🫣🫣🤯 in the homework. It was my right, but she was on the other side so that was a left!!! Oops🫣!!! I’ll get there someday lol!
