It’s a shame that he doesn’t like food at all 😂😂🙃! This is just his kibble lol! He did so good! My only issue was trying to not choke him or make restraining bad before I released him. That was hard 😂. Good thing he doesn’t care about being restrained to much lol!!! He had half of breakfast and then we warmed up with tugging. I was much better about remembering I have a right side too.

Collar grab! Quill is pretty good with all sorts of grabbing. We did toy and food! I was editing my video this afternoon and realized I only did it with my left side which I’m very guilty of doing lol! He was happy to add in some right side this afternoon. We still have some work to do on going through legs lol! Where did the cookie go lol?! This is promise and prytania’s line up for agility! Probably time to teach Quilly too!

Very good suggestions for toy food play! He was majorly teething the previous month and I did not want to mix them since he had hesitancy and that would have been worse with his mouth! He’s ready now 😃.

For stealth control I wanted to see how that went with the cookie/toy a full session before the novel object. I fed him half of breakfast before we started and used one of his most favorite toys! I didn’t lose him till a later rep, (the remains of a stick on the floor🙃). I did forget to call his name! I was focused on my reinforcement marker word lol! Unfortunately (maybe)there is no low value food for him so I will have to probably do less food reps. I did have my treat pouch on and he wasn’t mugging it! Big win!

Took outside to do with two toys and more movement! This a game we have played a lot!

I think I can probably add the novel object next time 😃

Goat tricks! I haven’t used this platform, but shaping to a platform was actually the first thing I taught him! So this was easy, I may need to try a different object. The one thing that is not easy is switching from food to toy! I have recognized this so honestly I haven’t asked for a lot of it because I didn’t want it to become an “issue”. So we’ve mostly kept separate but I’m ready to tackle now with your help 😃. I feel like he did pretty good here! He is definitely at the food needs to be elsewhere right now (which is was). He was just looking to make sure lol!

Quill’s focus last night in the brand new environment was exceptional!!! I was SO impressed! I did some RZ zone out in parking lot while another puppy was working and he was not distracted once. He’s an exceptional puppy😍. I hit the jackpot.

Here is his deceleration and turns. I had a bad cookie toss on the second rep and it had stuck to my fingers lol! So I cut out some of him looking for it 😀. No issues! He did great! We’ve done a lot of RZ zone from an early age.

Blind cross foundation. We were practicing with the older dogs and puppies got to play too at end. I didn’t get to watch the tutorial before but Carrie talked me through it. I thought I had done it wrong at first but I had toy right. Sorry, Annalise missed me switching sides on first rep.

Thank you so much for the detailed response above!!! Great things to follow!!! And yes it’s easy to do too many reps with these little exercises.

Here is his focused forward with me running behind. He did great! I almost forgot to do the right side lol! It’s hard to throw left handed.

Quill was happy to show off a little puppy frustration this morning. Cookies now!!! This was our second session. This is perfect, because I’d love to know how you handle this. First went without a hitch, took a brain break for tug toy then what is filmed. Normally with him, I have been doing cookie resets with him if he starts getting frustrated(demand barking). I stop at the first bark and throw a rest cookie. Sometimes his brain breaks I do the cu puppy pattern games he first learned instead of tugging and this really keeps him in a good mind set. Is this level of frustration ok in this training session or should I be aiming for aborting the training when he teeters into overarousal? I caused the demand barking at end because I did not give cookie because I said yes inappropriately. Bad trainer.should have given cookie. He demand barked for a little bit till I dropped a cookie in the bowl on other side. I’m still very much learning all Things arousal! Trying to do it right.

Alright here is the rest. This is turn 2 and 3 with I think a 20 min break in between. She did have a loss of focus when there was a mistake(backside positioning proved difficult for handler) and it was a more difficult skill for her (rear). Third turn better. Also this was an easier sequence and she got the harder one at end (sort of lol)!

So sorry I dropped off the face of the earth! It rained and rained, then 7th grade DC trip! So fun!!!! Then cold caught on Dc trip that had me down and out for two weeks! Was only able to survive family life and work! No energy for training😢! Thankfully after 14 days, I finally feel better!!!
But drumroll! Prytania had her first two feos this week and it was smashing!!! 😍. Incredibly proud of those two kiddos. Off to work today! Hopefully getting back on the training game tomorrow 😊.

Here was yesterday with Annalise! I think she kept her enthusiasm up better for the most part. Her worst turn was her second turn again. I do think she was still quite a bit handler focused and wondering about the toy. I left a turn in with potter in case Annalise is doing anything differently between the two.

In my little experiment with long breaks, I think she did much better with the one and done and larger breaks! Not on video, but Annalise went out maybe 2 hours after this (haha she snuck out on me) did a one and done and they knocked it out of the park😊.

Here is last night! Annalise did such a good job of not stopping 😊!
We are trying running potter before too and me running promise! Last night was just Potter.
Both Susan and I (of course Annalise too) are periodically are having trouble with enthusiasm from her. Typically goes like this… 1st turn great lots of enthusiasm. We keep short. Max witb me is 3 minutes. She gets break in crate 5-10 minutes. 2nd turn completely disengaged 🤷‍♀️. No apparent reasons why. Doesn’t seem to want to do it.

So I am keeping her a couple days now. I’m trying looooong breaks 3-4 hours with her to see if that helps!starting today. I think she mentally tires very easily. We want her to have the love for agility that she shows in Other areas. Right now with agility it’s just not there.
She got a dock session this weekend and there was no issues with greeting or enthusiasm. She’s like a kid on the water slide 😊. She ran past me to go again without a second glance!!! Not near as much mental 😊and a super high value of swimming for her.

Last night we incorporated a go line at the end and you can see how she lit up!! Going to try to incorporate this also😊.

Last night she was great! She came out each time after break happy and willing! She got 3 turns
