Annalise was ready to train this morning! Gosh it was hard to pull out that tunnel bright and early this morning after getting in super late last night from the trial! I’m glad I did though because they did awesome!!! We only did three ways as she was getting tired 😊.

Edited to add… oh my the death look I got when I yelled “yes” and messed up sequence😂. Sorry Annalise!😂

RYG 2, this was hard. I’ll have to mark this down to revisit. Interested to see what you say. When isolating it not in sequence, I did not get as much looking at me as I did in the sequence. Maybe my “GO” jump was confusing to her there, since I had said go tunnel before.

Here is Annalise with two concept transfers. On the sends, susan and I wanted to toss the reward to encourage timeliness of the reward. When doing something new for Annalise, I think it helps her focus better on her handling task when I/we remove the element of tossing the reward too. I know I am always happy at a seminar for the instructor to take my toy away and toss it for me lol!!! I have enough circulating in my brain usually😂.

Prytania did really great with all the exercises and is really growing up! She’s starting to get the agility bug I believe 😊.
Haha, my comment of “too much connection” was in other words you were early 😊😂.

Annalise got better with her timing and Pry seemed to have the attitude of I’ll save you anyway sister, just give me my reward😊! Prytania read all the crosses really well and responded appropriately when things didn’t go quite right. She kept her head in the game😊.

I’m back!!! Had a blast in France! Such a great time😊❤️. Rather jet lagged and it’s so hot, thankfully Carrie and Susan talked me into practicing. I might have taken the summer off it’s so hot.

Had a little issue with looking at me coming out of the tunnel. Didn’t include the first video, but I had the tunnel setup slightly wrong at first, with it pointing much more toward the third jump which made this insanely hard lol. Rectified that slight Angle and we were successful after that . Video is after tunnel was changed😊. One pull off, then success. I’m not really sure what I should be saying fir this jump after the tunnel. You’ll hear me use various words lol!

Switch away gave us some trouble after that. She does know it, but always been a slightly harder skill for her and I. It also a skill we don’t use to often so we are a little rusty. I think she was really getting it at the end.

-What a difference a year makes – these courses are harder than last years courses (in terms of design challenges) and yet they are so much easier because you and Promise have gown so much as a team. I love this!! There were SO MANY great moments out there, just a technical spot or two that needed smoothing out. The vast majority of this session was lovely ❤️-

I felt the same!!! Such a great session😊! I was actually kinda shocked we made it to 13 😂😂!!! We’ve grown a lot!!! So proud of all our hard work! I’m getting to enjoy these glimmers of greatness a lot more frequently now😊❤️ and it’s an amazing feeling😊!

Then when I’m getting a big head (not really😂), this course walked into my life😂😂! Holy hell! Wow! We couldn’t even make it to 4😂😂. The first attempt was kinda crap. Promise was super excited as Sunday was rest day and this was Monday evening. I also didn’t walk it as much as I should have. A big thunderstorm was looming in the area and I was afraid I would get rained out. We did so great on the first std course. What can go wrong??!😜. Mistake number one lol! Luckily the rain passed to the north of us. After my first total flop I walked it again!

Try as I might, I could not get to where I wanted to be on this course. I did layer the two jumps, but I’m still in another time zone from her. I think I have concrete for legs. Promise let me know she was not happy with my lack of speed and info. We haven’t practiced that Dogwalk send in quite awhile. Haha it showed big time!!! I ended up breaking it down and life became much better. I decided to layer for the teeter. I’m not sure if I needed too. This morning, I took that away and I was just fine on it. May have made it harder than it had to be there. The next send to the tunnel also proved challenging. I’m sure it’s obstacle overload there. I think I was even getting distracted by all that surrounded us and maybe didn’t set the best line for her. The only thing that went great for us was 12-13-14-15. 16 the bar kept falling for the dig dig. Not sure why. Not usually a bar that gets knocked on a wrap for her. Then we get to 18 to the end. Wow, incredibly hard. So many off courses! We got the Dogwalk. We got the tunnel. If we got it correct to 21 then we got a hard look at the other end of the tunnel and she came off the line!! I would love to do a blind cross between 20 and 21. But it just isn’t happening. I tried the switch away which is a must weaker skill for us. I’m sure I’m doing things wrong for this!!! Help! My course I think is maybe a tiny squished here too, which makes it incredibly hard😂😂!

Despite, having so many mistakes, we did get the beginning much better!! Which I’m super proud of. The end still a total flop!! Ay e in a year 😂😂! It also highlighted I really need to work my tunnel sends from behind. This also popped up in uki a couple weeks ago as a weakness!!!

Also, leaving for France on Thursday for a week and will be falling behind. My oldest is doing a study abroad there. I had sooo much fun in Italy in the winter, I decided we should go visit her for a week😊! Very excited. Paris and Lyon. Taking all the kids. My husband gets to take care of the dogs 😊.

Standard 1– so fun!!! I purposely started out wanting to do it to 13 and then tried 14 anyway 🤪. I knew no way we were going to go to the end. Better to break it down. The rear cross extreme wrap is is most likely a new thing for her. Added to our list of things we need. That teeter coming out of the tunnel locks her focus on that too!

The rear cross on 14 to the ending was the devil for us lol!! The pink jump is just right there!!! So hard! Then we had trouble with the go on once I got her focused on me. So many good skills in this course. Lots of fun. Carrie came over to play with Rou. We both decided an aed in the backyard might be a good idea 🤣🤣🤣!

Good morning! Live class was so fun last night!

Here is sequence 2 with no obstacle distractions. Again, I thought it was hard enough without distractions 😂. We got a run by on the first backside ( I got it another time too I think not on video). Then we got it perfectly!!
Then, I decided to go one more time to fix my wider turn at the end, and then I just got the backside 😂. I think I’m going to have to put some effort into having her learn those threadles lol! I did not use the threadle cue, but probably should have.

Last night was a great information session on bars too! The bars fell at 8 too, just like 12! When things get tough, the bars will fall lol!

Also, a housekeeping note. My mental management course has not popped up on my course list and won’t let me access it.

Here is an example of the bars and me losing connection I believe. We did two days this past weekend. https://youtu.be/J1yMDDwcVPI

Also, I realized I said a verbal wrong🫣🫣🤯 in the homework. It was my right, but she was on the other side so that was a left!!! Oops🫣!!! I’ll get there someday lol!

    Starfish
Prytania came over for fun and sweat lol!!! I kept it pretty simple! She did really well with it all! The first time we reversed directions she was sure it was the go! I broke it down again!!! She was a rockstar with the heat!!! Nice training temps are OVER! I wore out before her! She had the luxury of Susan taking her to pond for breaks 😊.

Transition turns! Thought she did great! She was speedy for that second wrap!

Get out— She’s catching on😊. Had a moment of disengagement. It was with food this time. Got her back with toy play.
She does enjoy sniffing for things and then snacking on them. Edible or not!

We are hitting that super busy time of the end of the school year! Todays session was last I could do till next Saturday. We won’t be able to do last live class. Susan is doing it😊.

Tunnel threadle- she did really well with this. I left this kinda long because we had a moment of disengagement that the camera captured perfectly! I just want to make sure I’m not doing anything wrong. This was her second turn. It’s hard to see, but it was the leash and harness on the ground that caused the initial brain fart! I think her nose just overpowers her sometimes. We kept super short and she was leashed in between breaks.

The chickens are of course a distraction lol, but I did have some similar moments as to what she does in my yard there also.
I think it was before we started??? I let her off leash first and then went into turn. Didn’t work lol!
I may need to do a sniff and explore the new areas first on leash and then put her up in crate for her “real” turn. She really likes to sniff and check out new places!
I think another “key” is to keep the sessions super, super short. I rewatched my videos and at around the 2 min to 2 min 30 sec mark she was more likely to disengage.I had the sessions just over 3 minutes. I have to remember that the tugging time counts also! She is “slower” to warm up. Typically takes a good minute to get her tugging very well! The second rep I did the get it game and then tugging so I didn’t even start the sequence till 1 min 30 sec. So this means I need to go for only one rep, possibly two especially when it’s hot!!!
She is not a fan of the heat at all!

I do have a timer!!! I need the timer lol!! I will put it to use! We will figure out her exact “recipe for success” just like promise😊.

New field! New distractions and hot!!!
    She did great!!!

Got to kidnap P today and bring her back to my house. Sophie had a grooming appointment right by Susan 😊.

Wanted to work this one first before Annalise because it’s a hard one 😊😊😊! The light bulb went off as you will see. We had three sessions and promise worked in between her breaks 😊.

Prytania also went away with us this weekend to Uki. Got to stay in hotel and learn a little dock diving as a bonus 😊.
Also including video of an adolescent moment when she encountered the stuff dog that didn’t want to play🤣❤️.

The stuffed dog was there the day before and she paid no attention to it. Then she noticed it Sunday morning. Puppies are hilarious!

Prytania came over today to play and the focus was FUN, so we played find the jump and the smiley face game again! Very happy with these! I saw a lot more fun and JOY out of her which is always the goal anyway right!!!
It’s very, very hard for her to ignore the toy and ignoring the mama if she is going another direction😊. Her green
Light had just never come on for the wing wraps but I think it did today! Much more enthusiasm😊. I pulled off just too early on the two of the tunnels. Tried the placed toy but it was a fail. Too hard today. We did a little bit on it outside of the jump work.

Left the videos pretty much whole. Lots of play!!!
