ParticipantThreadle wraps! Got a little taz devil with the jumping at hands haha… 😊! Must have reward! Still so much a righty!!! So interesting to see it! She was instantly so much tighter on right.

ParticipantThank you so much Tracy!!! I’m really on cloud nine!!! So many amazing things happened!!! I was just so impressed! We had so much fun!!! Mistakes were no biggie! I would loop around or reset and we all stayed happy🤗.
I was very happy to share with everyone that Promise is a Max puppy/ agility university baby and Tracy is the bomb😊🔥! I owe so much to you!!! I feel like she is your baby too🥰! Thanks for all the classes we took, independent and working!!! All the trouble shooting in taming the beast! Your instruction is just the best! You put 110 percent in!!! Thank you for all you do 😊!
I have email addresses to let people know when max pup starts again😊!!! And a referral for the teeter independent study 😊.

ParticipantHere is our alternative starts video. We are figuring out how to best do it in the beginning, since I have two other start line behaviors very similar 😊.
Her debut is going soooo well!!! Here is her jumpers yesterday! I was soooo proud of her!!! If only mom could have gotten the directionals right! She totally turned left when I said left!!! Then I got the knocked bar! Time to start week 3 when we get back!
Amy Wilson
Participant-Your BC 2-3 was a bit late because you didn’t quite lead out far enough – and ended up starting the blind as she was taking off for the jump so she dropped the bar. So, in a perfect world, lead out to or past 2 before releasing her. But since you might not have a super long lead out at the trial, you can also work this opening as a rear cross which might be more realistic to what you will be doing in coming weeks.-
Haha, I don’t have a super long lead out at home😂😂!!!
Yes, I’m going to have to have a big mind set change lol! I was a blind cross person before lol. Lots of rears are in my future, especially in AKC novice. When I watched the video, I realized I should have done a rear on 5 since I was so late with my blind. The rear just doesn’t immediately come to my mind. I’m sure it soon Will lol!!!
I am hoping for a couple steps of a lead out at the trial which won’t really help me much at all😂😂. Let’s start praying for all tunnel starts😂😂🤞.-Do you mean she took the #1 jump again after the backside?
Yes, this was hard to see from the camera, but she took 12 as a backside. It was a beautiful backside lol! I knew I ended up in her way, but was unsure how to fix that. 5 a.m. sprint work outs for 6 weeks lol? I think I like your ideas better😊. I will play around with those.

ParticipantSomehow a cool front blew in for maybe a few hours. It was 81 tonight feels like 88. It was nice!!! Sadly, that is NICE😂😂! Annalise and I wanted to get some last minute practice in before the trial to knock some dust off of Potter and I wanted a stab at 2! So here it is! I really have no clue how to handle the whole ending with her lol! My attempt was to rear 16 and then do a push to the backside… well we never made the backside lol as she has huge value for weaves the same as tunnels too apparently 😂. We quit here and even though it felt nicer than this a.m. it’s still too hot😂. Plus I need some help Lol! All ideas welcome!
Dogs had a spa day today and she was wound up tonight!!! She was feeling spicy!!! She thoroughly enjoyed her two tunnels again and I think she might finally be tired! Happy I got these in before the weekend. She will be working on the alternative start next😊.
Annalise was awesome with Potter and he enjoyed the tunnels too😊😊!
For a morning laugh… watch the beginning. Apparently, she is the real team chill! No fake chill needed😂😂. I just found this on my phone 😂.
Amy Wilson
ParticipantWell, the humidity is good for one thing lol. There is no choice but a one and done 😂😂😂! Also, I had an audience for this to get ready for our trial this weekend. She did absolutely fantastic with that!!! Overall, she did awesome!!!
The things I noted while running it, the German turn- I got the backside. My setup Was an obvious line to the backside, so no surprise there.
It’s also so hard for my brain to spit out my verbals at high speed! I snuck a peak at next week and saw we would be working on this😊.And just lots of cleaning up on my part lol!
Can’t wait to hear what you think!PS. I think the two tunnels back to back made her day😂😂!!!
Amy Wilson
Participant—-The sequence there is also a threadle to the backside of that jump, which might be easier to get her back on the layered line.—-
I knew that was a threadle before I built the course! Then I was out in the heat building it and looked at my phone map one more time before I ran itand read it wrong 😳😳😳!
We don’t really have a threadle wrap yet! But yes it was a lot easier to get her on the right line. We just did an attempt!
Weaves with wing. Am I leaving soon enough??
Amy Wilson
ParticipantOk! I’m going to try another go at this! Layering is a new skill for me!!! Yes, the heat seems to bother me more than her! I realize I’m super lucky she still wants to run like a bat out of hell in the heat😂😊! She just can’t do it for long😂. That’s ok! After two reps, I’m already starting to smell😂.
Amy Wilson
ParticipantWeaves!!! I was not sure if I should put up the wing. When she missed she got it the next time, but I also made it slightly easier holding my motion till I saw she was committed.
Also, why I have I adopted airplane mode lately??!!! It’s come from the running contacts! I don’t need it there either lol. I need it to stop! Duct tape my arm Tracy!!!
The rear crosses! Ugh! We had these and then I had not kept up with it! I’m trying to maintain everything but it’s a constant battle to keep everything up with a baby dog!!!I think I might need to go back to just one pole and the treat and train after because she became so focused on my motion.
Big news! We have a trial this coming weekend!!! We will be doing feo again with a toy for fast and t2b but I do have her entered in novice Jww and std for the first time! Time to test the waters to see where we are at! It’s a soccer arena with Air conditioning!!!!
Amy Wilson
ParticipantTrying to catch up after all the company!!!
It’s just so hot and the humidity!!! I’ve lived here 8 years now and I’m still shocked at how humid it gets every July!!! Here are some of the evolution skills! Haha, the tunnel at the beginning was so tempting😂😂 and we just could not get the jump after the wrap. The discrimination drill went well. Quit after that side because after 2 minutes of practice I feel like I’ve lots 10 gallons of water, sweating!
Amy Wilson
ParticipantWorked the weaves a little this morning. Separated last 4 and rewarded for finishing last poles. moved back together reward. Moved laterally rewarded and at the end I tried the double blind. I was purposely a little late with my first blind lol, if my second was late that wasn’t on purpose lol! Now I need to add the verbals😊.
Amy Wilson
Participant-It will be all about the verbals. I don’t think layering 11 makes sense because it assumes you will be near the exit of the dog walk… which will not happen wih a RDW on this type of course 🙂 So better options would be to hang back and send to the backside off the do walk from miles away (very doable!) and then BC 11-12. Or, do the tunnel threadle handling you did here, rear cross the tunnel and use your verbals to propel her to 13 as you head for the a-frame. Also very doable-
Haha, this never even crossed team frantic’s mind! I can picture it and it sounds exciting!!! I really could make that blind if I could hang back. I think I’m going to be forced to hang back😂😂. I will definitely have to think about different options with her😊. Hopefully, I will have that independent backside off the dogwalk. Right now, I might need to buy a scooter😂😂.
Amy Wilson
Participant-you can play with a BC from the poles to the jump, then another BC to get her on your left on the takeoff side for the next jump to send and leave, so you are ahead of her for the running dog walk.
or, you can serp to a blind on the landing side of the jump before the RDW – but that is more running yardage for you and I am not sure if puts you far enough ahead like the 2 blinds would. (you did this at the end of the video, it was hard for you to set a good line to the DW, so I vote for the 2 blinds :))-
I could not set the line well at all lol! The flip is not Really a thing I do and It did not set a good line at all. Then I was surprised how much into outer space she went on the landing side blind to Dogwalk lol! Babysitting the push puts me A little behind. I’m going to try to play with the two blinds tomorrow and get your help. I remember doing this with you with breeze way back. Possibly master class??? The timing of the second blind is what I struggle with in a scenario like this.
-It was a little hard to see, but I think she missed the jump at :23 and :36 (I think you said go after she exited the tunnel) – and you wee trying to get the BC on the landing side of the next jump –
I will try reworking this tomorrow too with the blind a jump earlier.
I’m not going to try to run the whole thing! I know you’ll agree with that😊! I know I can find some key things to work on from each course and that will be my focus with the full courses!
Amy Wilson
Participant-Nice line 4-5-6!! Her teeter looks FABULOUS-
Independent study of your class! We took our time and I’m so happy with it!!!-She is still learning the default to take the jump after the backside – so totally drop the reward in as soon as she gets to the entry wing as you move through, each and every time for now, especially in these big courses. That will really help build up her understanding-
Yes, I haven’t really worked on backsides much since verbals class! I know what to do and I will toss the reward behind😊.
Amy Wilson
ParticipantWhoops! Sorry!!!
I only have two by twos. Separate the last 4?
