ParticipantThanks Tracy!!! I do really think it was A. Uncoordinated puppy and B. Too much toy focus… hard for puppy brain to think.
I suggested to Susan to try to have toy already on ground and then drag it.. just like jumping class. Which helps promise organize herself so much better. She had no wing hits then 😁.Yes, No rush to wings. She’s very young! She amazes me with everything she’s been able to do so far! I was not able to get that far so soon with my Promise. Which is perfectly acceptable and normal 😊!

ParticipantHey Tracy… auntie Amy here. I noticed on the turn and burn Prytania was hitting the wing a little wrapping. Should we be worrying about this??? Should we maybe go back to just barrels? Oh course I started worrying about this since I am battling it with her stepsister😈. Alarm bells and sirens are going off in my head lol!!! Then she has her gris-mah who loved to knock down wings. I assume when a bar gets placed she won’t wrap near as tight?
You can tell me to go back to team fake chill again if I’m worried over nothing🤣.

ParticipantFading the organizer wraps
She had big feelings about adding the sit in front of the jump🤣🤣🤣. I did do a couple reminder sits before. I quickly went on to the other option and she did great! I did a couple without the organizer and I think her takeoff was a little different without out… let me know what you think!

ParticipantHappy Saturday !!!
The 2 jump serpentine is giving us some issues. First issue trying to find the perfect setup for the tiny girl!!! Second, I think this one is hard for her!!! Today I tried my Cavaletti cone in the middle and bars. The bars are slightly shorter than weaves poles by about 4 inches. Unfortunately, I do not have an wingless upright that doesn’t have a ground bar. I had to give a little education lesson right before for her to know to take both jumps. Then she started off good, but then maybe got tired??? One question on reward… do I still pop the ready treat open if it isn’t correct? I called her back and gave her a reward.
Target position was probably off on this I’m guessing. I’m thinking I didn’t call it done soon enough on this today.Organizer looking very good! https://youtu.be/5xWOhS-xa_Q
Tried the backside slice for the first time and she was wonderful on this! I was super surprised since the serpentine slice has been the most difficult for her. This was her last exercise. Also beautiful example of completing the stress cycle! She told me she was done by going around bar with toy😊!

ParticipantOff topic, but finally getting to listen to the setting up sports success webinar teenage brains. Brillant!!!! Love it!!! Promise thanks you for it ❤️. I can look back now and see how that reset cookie worked for her brain!

ParticipantHi! I think she did well with the organizer front wraps with motion. She got a little tired of no stopping at the end lol or maybe that was just fatigue!!!
Organizer front slices! When I was out there I thought I was doing it right, but as I was editing the video I see she was taking a step down and then jumping. I’m guessing my organizer needed to be closer! This is her default I think to power with her front! These organizers exercises are so good to remind her to power from the rear! I just set this one up incorrectly🤦♀️. I’m still sending in to see if the mechanics were ok for it. She loves her little organizer! She rushes back to restart from it😂😊.
Later… I couldn’t stand it. I moved the organizer to the correct position and did a few reps. Only these… I’m done now. Still getting the lift off from ground on left. Hmm…

ParticipantThank Tracy! This was good therapy for me! Overall, her weekend was Amazing! Huge improvements in sooo many areas!
Sunday she executed her troubled jumping sequence with no bars!!!! Amazing!!! I got a jump and a half lead out on jumpers! Amazing! Her ability to focus before going into ring! Huge improvement! Not yet anmazing lol, but an amazing improvement. And those weaves! She hit a super difficult entry Saturday and she got her weaves every time and the judge actually exclaimed “Wow!” While she was on course and hit an entry like a seasoned dog! Thanks for being with me on my journey!!!!
Onto harder with the organizer😊!!!!

ParticipantSigned up for extension!
Trialed sat and sun. No Qs because of bars. Most of the time just one. Sunday she had no bars with the jumping effort she was having trouble with. Bars came down because of looking back at handler! Processing in a new environment. One was a heartbreaker on the go line. We both know she knows her go’s!! Just baby dog on that one that needs new environments. I will post it.Here is all attempts with organizer full height wing wraps.
Got in with my massage therapist today that I adore. She was super sore in left hamstring and both shoulders. I have another appointment set up in two weeks to get her checked again.
No trials for awhile.

ParticipantHey Tracy! Promise has recovered from her spay and is she is ready to Roll!!! I hope I did this exercise correctly! Sometimes I walk out the door and forget all the directions lol!!!
I used weave poles for this exercise at 4 inches! Hopefully Im doing it correctly!!!
We are both happy to be playing agility together again!

ParticipantJump training will be put on hold for a little while. Promise got spayed on Friday. She is doing very well and today has decided she is perfectly well and this crate/cage rest is a huge injustice! It’s going to be a long recovery😂. It’s never a good time to schedule these things, but now was a good time in terms of competition and in preventing another heat which she does not do well with at all.
I think potter and Annalise will get to take my working spot in the two week class😊
I filmed this the night before her surgery. We went a little long on this just because I knew we weren’t going to be doing anything for two weeks. I thought it went really well at the slower speed and then started getting sloppy with fatigue and increased motion. I probably should have quit earlier!!!
I’m guessing these activities will be the perfect activities to start with slowly once she gets released by her vet.

ParticipantAll the above meant so very much!!! I did have the thought that it “might” be her brain trying to put it all together! Of course a million other thoughts entered also, and I got nervous that this is going to be a whole career issue. She is so wonderful and she does make it look so easy when things are going right! It is not easy stuff though and she is very, very much a baby!!! I think the experience thing/baby dog brain is a BIG factor in this!! For instance our hardest run was T2b. She had 3 bars in this run. All the other runs were just one. Lots of commotion going on this class and her headspace was not what I wanted when we entered the ring. She is struggling ringside holding it together with the commotion of the other dog running and the handlers shouting with a bigger class. In the future I need to make this an feo run for us. I actually decided to not do FAST anymore for the time being, even feo because she can’t take the constant shouting of numbers on the mic. Plus the handlers become insane screaming in FAST more than any other class🤷♀️🤦♀️. She’s not ready for that and I have not entered it my past two trials.
I did take her out and practiced a lot of our previous class work on getting ready to trial!! I took her out while a course build was going on. Just seeing the equipment and the gate gets her little head spinning lol! We worked on being by the gate and doing tricks and then walking away from gate with a brain😊😂. After our runs, big celebration and cool down, I am bringing her ringside and working on her focus to me and not hyper focusing on the ring. She is able to pull this off much, much better after her adrenaline explosion from her run. Here is the zig zag with two jumps. She needed a little handling help with me on the same side as her and this was her hardest for her. I think one time she had two strides in between so a big question mark! I did not see her bounce jump this when I was same side as her. Hopefully my set up is ok. I used a 4 ft bar to help get them a little closer together.
We are going to work through this😊😊😊!!!

ParticipantI think I may have not followed directions and added motion to soon! I felt like when I was doing it she was lining up well, but the video shows her angling herself more than I thought she was.
Showed yesterday and today. Beautiful runs! Unfortunately a bar in each. Mostly the same jumping effort. It was variable on why she dropped the bar. One was early, one late, one to tight.
Jumpers was a bummer. I thought we qualified😞. I didn’t hear the last bar drop.Trying to be patient because I’ve been working on this a nano second, but felt a little down today about it😞.

ParticipantYes! We would be honored😊. I am signed up for two of the sessions! The psychology is my favorite part of training. I’m super sciencey lol! I’m a nurse😊🥰.
Don’t worry! I won’t be taxing myself too much with my new job 🤣! I’m only going to be 1-2 days a week😊. Just had to do this whole week as a general orientation. I’m an IBCLC also. Which is a breastfeeding guru or sometimes called breastfeeding nazi🤣! I’ve been waiting for this position to open up for 8 years!!! I know all sorts of insane science stuff about breast milk 😊🤣!Amy

ParticipantThis week I returned to work and Promise has gotten more sleep than she ever has in her entire life according to her FI collar🤣🤣🤣. She was happy to play tonight!
Here is the organizer wing video. I’ll need to figure out the matting better as she is doing her teeter behavior when she gets on it lol! That is because of the duct tape.
The cat messed her up a little! Don’t cats love to do that. Also, Enjoy my misstep where I manage to fall off my pool decking that is only raised one inch from the ground 🫣🤣. I’m ok!!
Amy Wilson
ParticipantWill contact Leslie! Thanks for the rec!
Ok, most importantly I think the thing to note is I’m in a coat in this video!!!! Short lived most likely, but I’ll take it!!
Organizer came yesterday so off we went. I duct taped the drawer shelfing and off we went. Oops! This isn’t going to work. I used duct tape with her teeter and taught her to scratch and nose touch. I got a little confusing. Onto the the towel! Will have to find the double sided tape for the shelf liner lol!!!
If she has anything sloppy it would be her right back leg. Left is always aligned. Let me know what you think!!!
