Am I still stepping back when he wraps to his left? It’s like my brain can only focus on one thing, so it was focusing on using my right hand for his left wraps. Excuse my completely incorrect verbals. Poor puppy was getting “Check” for both directions. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
My connection isn’t consistent but I see what a huge difference it makes when it’s good and when I get Chip information early. We need more practice on our L and R verbals.
Is he cutting in toward me on his straight tunnel exits because I’m not far enough past the tunnel?

For the life of me, I’m not connecting with Chip when he wraps to his left. 🤪 He just makes that big ‘ol wide turn and goes around the jump.

I’m probably handling him too closely, so he a$$ passed me – lol. I tell him right and then I say the word “here.” 🤦🏻♀️ Thank goodness I have video, mostly because I get your feedback, but also so I can see what I’m doing. Poor Chippy. 🤪
Jumps too close together? I went a little less than 6 feet.
Also, we’ve tried Wind in Your Hair, but Chip is running around the jump. How should I help him? Remove the wing wrap and just release him as he’s facing the jump until he starts focusing on it? Thank you, Tracy!!

There’s not much “burn” here. 😆 I need to work on my speed. Also, it’s amazing how turning my head away just a second is enough of a break in connection to cause Chip to go behind me.
Wk 10 – Happy Stays
Bad student for jumping ahead 😬, but I feel pretty good about Chip’s stays thanks to obedience and rally. He’s not super into his prop, which I’m sure helped.
