    Hi
Yes we do alot of toy switch and retr games outside of agility and it is getting there – agility is too high value a the moment. probably need to do work on transition one jump toy on ground and then a toy switch so get attention before she goes into zoomy mode. I have also been working on using other rewards. Went to toy anchored on ground to food on me and now just starting to carry a high value toy (a low value she doesnt care). Slow small steps so that it doesnt go over he top and get her grabby. Was really pleased with this session holding the toy as no grabby and very much in workng mode wiith very chattery teeth so high arousal but still in control.

With verbals she is very litarule > i like bite perhaps should introd that – at moment I have a verbal catch and find it for food (Tend to forget this one) and get it for a toy and switch when want a toy swap. I think I need to add verbals for taking from my hand so bite would work well for that, currently with the toy have a long one and drop it loose so she can grab.

Seasaw- she only does anything for high value treats and I need to mix them up – so hotdogs, cheese, steak, liver here I had a mix of cheese and hotdog. She is not a foodie at all and it has taken a bit to work out what she will eat. I think food is starting to link to the fun of working rather than the food itself- this happened with my other dogs too and this helped increase the value of the food. I think to she likes to work things out. Ideally i would love a toy at the top but that would guarentee here going off the side. Did a bit of plank work last night and she was more into going across the plank when there was a toy involved. So perhaps what I needed to do was do toyplay after a rep.

She is changing every day at the moment- growing in her skill, listening and confidence.

    Hi

Yes I am very pleased with her we are starting to wor together sometimes. She has got great drive- currently too much as neither of us are good when speed gets up.

I am pleased we are starting to actually connect some of the time.
Reinforcement has always been an issue and we are working thru slowly I think I made the mistake of having her toy too far away for this harder stuff. If ithad been closer I think I can get less turning to me because she knows the reward is not on me. I am also struggling with having one command for the toy and one for food- my other dogs itdidnt matter but with her it does.
I tried a lotus this morning and she just ran off with it. I did do a session this morning carrying a toy and for the first time I got her working when I had a toy on me – you should have seen the teeth chatter but still got a wait although she struggled. will edit thsi video tonight. Previously when I had a toy on me she got very grabby. I could try an empty food bowl but not sure it has enougn value yet – although she is starting to understand delayed reward.

Yesterday we did the tunnel entrance wotk and redid seasaw for the first time after the first session. She was still a little unsure but better.

    Hi

Will you were more ositive than I was I felt it was a nmess with my body all over the place.
the second attempt I felt I kew what I was trying to do..

I dont know that I locked it in but defintiely felt we were more of a team. I am actually super pleased with how well she is working- she is starting to say me rather than me trying to be perfect and failing lol. She layers well.

yes can find a longer plank just not at home. yes she doesnt like me in her space (but okay for her to be in mine lol).

Missed videoing the lazy game. I think I am starting to understand a little more her running ,,, and then something happes and I realise I dont at all.

I havent worked at the blind yet going back to rewatch videos but other things I am amazed at how much she is starting to focus and follow .

    Hi

Thanks. Unfortunately no sharon in this session lol

Definitely me working out hings and was pleased with how fusion responded. have to get into my head the brake arm movement and timing and then think it will work well.

Yesterday did a bit with the pop out from the agility set – just short amount of time. Spread it out again as had the opportunity- sorry about external noise.

again it was me struggling with my timing but Fusion was trying hard. I again over rotated at times. Lots of mistakes on my part a few times she went wrong I didnt correct as wanted to limit time training I thought Fusion was working well and not just charging on more me not telling

will hopefully get enougn time to practise the hot topics tomorrow.

Is it possible to get a course map early for next live as have to get it printed out at a frieds when she is home and that can get interesting with time differences and her having a life…

yes I know i went too long on seasaw game. In theory the seasaw can be lowered but it has been out in weather so suspect not. I thought I might just set up with a plan on a slope to achieve the same thing but be able to modify the height more.

I like the idea of a towlel – I tried a plate but cant hit it and the treats bounce.

yes she loved the wing game- running fast what not to love but she is great at sending initially but not so much after tunnel so will work on those suggestions to help her understand this.

Yes in NZ distances are the same for all dogs so for a little dog it is a long way.

I have been doing some plank work and finally starting to get some success- I have raised it quite high and rewardedwith a trail of treats and finally starting to get going across rather than dancing off. Heights lower than this still got dance off.

Yes it was sharon yelling and cheering- I love training with her as she provides immediate feedback rather than having to stop and look at video.

I tried the live video sessions. I spread it out heaps although doesnt look like it on the video (about doubled the distances) – still managed to cheat and send her (my default) but really struggled with the 1 to2 which then had a carry on effect – so need to work on that focus when I lead out for both of us. I love this concept of the brake arm but it didnt come naturally to me so will keep working on this.

    hi

    Thanks for that.
had a public holiday yesterday so chance to do some training between rain.I did some ore training at sharons on he first skills trying to keep moving- I couldnt spreadout as was already set up. No need to watch these videos more for me. I felt she did so much better in his environment this time and when I got my handlig right she was great, the oe with the backside at the end I did beautifully the first time but no video lesson for me there… trust my dog use my verbals and run.

am hoping if rain stays away to set up the live exercise tomorrow will spread out- our ears might burn…

attempt 2 to post this- I think Robyns neighbours will start to wonder when this strange person turns up when she is away ..

I try to always play on the toy with her as firstly i want the toy reward to be associated with me as well its more fun and I dont want removing her off the toy (even thou she comes) to be a negative or a stressor. I have been involving food before and after. Iam pleased that she is finally starting to develop some food drive when things are fun over the last month.
I lifted the plank by about 4 iches tonight. It didnt make any difference (no video edited yet) do I need to lift it more or do I just need to slow her down and help her understand the value of staying on the plank

Seasaw. Did this yesterday first two times perfect but forgot to turn camera on. Third time when I went to grab her mistimed and she dived off the side. Then spent time trying to get her to go up she would go a little and ten bail. pent too long doing this. then started to roll a second treat down so she would follow- this started to work but didnt always get mt timing right.

    wings exercise
I was pleased how this went a few mistakes on my timing but thought she was driving well. Excuse my strange wings dont have many at my place as do little agility there so improvised

tried the lazy game again with jumps further up- she did well when I was cotrolled and orgaised. sorry I was too lazy to shift the toy I had used earlier but she ignored.

    heres plank video

apologies for that have gone visiting to find a seasaw and internet

i went to an anchored toy because i was getting frustration biting and constant leaping to grab toy or food out of my hand or pocket and all the focus was on that when things were exciting when i started it i had no food or toys on me and got a very quick change. now i can have food on me and even do a little calm agility stuff with no toy present. she is getting idea that food means can play with toy later . i do tend to find still i get focus on my hands when i have food.i do alot of other training with just food but that is less exciting stuff plus new things like plank work with food.. am planning to start working on carrying a more boring toy. I think what changed is the toy on the ground is exciting and worth working for and there is a consistency about where it is.

    hi

I think on the first one I got caught up in my concerns and then lost focus o the rest of the course
I eed to watch that not turning left- feel more comfortable with left esp when on that side need to push myself to do the cross and right.

Redid the skill courses at a friends hope that is okay- she has more space, equipment and yells at me when I take the easy way or dont reward enougn…
Definitely more pressure on me (good mre trial like) more distractions for fusion- strange ground, sheep, dogs and people .. so we definitely struggled abitmore and made more mistakes. Fusion struggled more with her wait but she worked thru this

i did a little more but havent had time to load onto iternet

    Hi

Have wathed video am still not sure she will not dive straight off but will see

Had a go at the plank- I struggled to get her to stay on – I might have been too close.

Had a good twice with the lazy game.
struggled to find food as it is small also she was driving to the next jump and I had trouble being fast enougn but not too fast. It was raining to which didnt help so camera abit far away ad jumps are grey

second attempt still raining but put her toy on a stick – she works better knowing where it is, here I struggled to use the treat toss word not the toy grab – she worked it out most of the time _ I dont use food much when training agility stuff as she gets grabby. It doesnt happen when her favurite toy is around.. Thought might have got better work mode- not sure whether did. Did too many reps oops as was trying to sort out my meachics.

    Hi
Sorry two questions apologies if you answer in video as cant watch them yet

on the teeter game arent you concerned the pups might dive off- Not sure what In Synch will do but she is pretty independent and if she is unsure she may dive off the side or if she is happy is likely to charge off the top- maybe not but I want to be aware

on the lazy game am sure In Synch will take first jump but likely to go zoomies before second or very wide and miss – she is not super great on food (working on it) do I just have patience- I actually think this is a skill she needs to slow down and think
