No need to watch these videos more for me. I felt she did so much better in his environment this time and when I got my handlig right she was great, the oe with the backside at the end I did beautifully the first time but no video lesson for me there… trust my dog use my verbals and run.

am hoping if rain stays away to set up the live exercise tomorrow will spread out- our ears might burn…

attempt 2 to post this- I think Robyns neighbours will start to wonder when this strange person turns up when she is away ..

I try to always play on the toy with her as firstly i want the toy reward to be associated with me as well its more fun and I dont want removing her off the toy (even thou she comes) to be a negative or a stressor. I have been involving food before and after. Iam pleased that she is finally starting to develop some food drive when things are fun over the last month.
I lifted the plank by about 4 iches tonight. It didnt make any difference (no video edited yet) do I need to lift it more or do I just need to slow her down and help her understand the value of staying on the plank

Seasaw. Did this yesterday first two times perfect but forgot to turn camera on. Third time when I went to grab her mistimed and she dived off the side. Then spent time trying to get her to go up she would go a little and ten bail. pent too long doing this. then started to roll a second treat down so she would follow- this started to work but didnt always get mt timing right.

    wings exercise
I was pleased how this went a few mistakes on my timing but thought she was driving well. Excuse my strange wings dont have many at my place as do little agility there so improvised

tried the lazy game again with jumps further up- she did well when I was cotrolled and orgaised. sorry I was too lazy to shift the toy I had used earlier but she ignored.

    heres plank video

apologies for that have gone visiting to find a seasaw and internet

i went to an anchored toy because i was getting frustration biting and constant leaping to grab toy or food out of my hand or pocket and all the focus was on that when things were exciting when i started it i had no food or toys on me and got a very quick change. now i can have food on me and even do a little calm agility stuff with no toy present. she is getting idea that food means can play with toy later . i do tend to find still i get focus on my hands when i have food.i do alot of other training with just food but that is less exciting stuff plus new things like plank work with food.. am planning to start working on carrying a more boring toy. I think what changed is the toy on the ground is exciting and worth working for and there is a consistency about where it is.

    hi

I think on the first one I got caught up in my concerns and then lost focus o the rest of the course
I eed to watch that not turning left- feel more comfortable with left esp when on that side need to push myself to do the cross and right.

Redid the skill courses at a friends hope that is okay- she has more space, equipment and yells at me when I take the easy way or dont reward enougn…
Definitely more pressure on me (good mre trial like) more distractions for fusion- strange ground, sheep, dogs and people .. so we definitely struggled abitmore and made more mistakes. Fusion struggled more with her wait but she worked thru this

i did a little more but havent had time to load onto iternet

    Hi

Have wathed video am still not sure she will not dive straight off but will see

Had a go at the plank- I struggled to get her to stay on – I might have been too close.

Had a good twice with the lazy game.
struggled to find food as it is small also she was driving to the next jump and I had trouble being fast enougn but not too fast. It was raining to which didnt help so camera abit far away ad jumps are grey

second attempt still raining but put her toy on a stick – she works better knowing where it is, here I struggled to use the treat toss word not the toy grab – she worked it out most of the time _ I dont use food much when training agility stuff as she gets grabby. It doesnt happen when her favurite toy is around.. Thought might have got better work mode- not sure whether did. Did too many reps oops as was trying to sort out my meachics.

    Hi
Sorry two questions apologies if you answer in video as cant watch them yet

on the teeter game arent you concerned the pups might dive off- Not sure what In Synch will do but she is pretty independent and if she is unsure she may dive off the side or if she is happy is likely to charge off the top- maybe not but I want to be aware

on the lazy game am sure In Synch will take first jump but likely to go zoomies before second or very wide and miss – she is not super great on food (working on it) do I just have patience- I actually think this is a skill she needs to slow down and think

Thanks for that it is very helpful. Her stay status is improving heaps in training at the moment – have been working thru your stay course reinforcing the missing pieces.

Yesterday we did the popouts from the agility course. Different location – a bit more space and her excitment and arousal levels higher here.
I got myself lost a few times- Fusion says how can she get it right when human doesnt.
First course I struggled on and so this is a longer clip.

Thanks was sure i tried that but it worked. forum not worked yet.

excuse typing In Synch is helping!! managed toget to a friends to upload today. Internet at my place takes too long.

heres our attempts of the hot spots

some were easier than others. so some just did once. some didnt redo even if small mistake if smooth. Big thing I noticed was when I ovr thought or focused on something I felt was hard Iforgot to keep going…

definitely will revisit- still have been doing away from equipment just not in agility context.

I am glad she got the hard part!! An idea: if she realizes that something has gone wrong (sometimes we hesitate the tiniest bit, or we say something) then you don’t even need to keep going in class. You can just reward immediately 🙂

Agreed but easier said than done- Often I think she knows she is wrong it is almost as if it takes time for something to sink in and as she goes wrong the message gets thru- so usually a sign I am late or she has read my cue differently. Then by the time I realise she has gone wrong she is in zoomie mode as she realised first. Thinking whether should plan to stop after hard bit but it is inconsistent at the moment whether she will get something or not – We both know how to do these things but in a trial neither of us is consistent.

Rain has now arrived- should have done this course earlier and broken the autumn drought sooner but hopefully can get some training done at weekend. some of those call offs look tricky for my timing.

I havent for a while as it wasnt working at that point. Have been focused on brain camp stuff so probably time to revisit. If there is something hard (for her) at the start can lose her. But more recently it has been when somethng hard she is getting and then if there is a hard turn (for her) later she says sorry no bandwidth left have already used it. hereas before we would have just got the easy bits. So when she doesnt quite get the turn. For example in one of her last classes the first three obstacles were a wide serp and then a turnaway into a tunnel. Baby class so most didnt run it as a serp but handled every jump but she is way too fast for that. She got the serp but turned wide onto tunnel and got the wrong end I tried to just collect her as she came out and carry on as if that was correct but she was gone. before she would have gone as soon as I asked for the serp. But one thing on my list to practise is a serp at start as would have been easier for us if we had already been flowing.

Looking forward to working my skills and timing as this is a big part of it now- before it was equal now definitely me

    Hi

am hoping to get the final bits done next week. She is getting so much better all the time- not sure I can say the same for me…

Looking at what to do next- I think max 3 is looking interesting as alot of stuff in there I havent done before in terms of contacts and seasaws.

Wondering whether to audit or handle her (she is only just over eight months or wait until you put the class on again.
I find it hard to stay focused when I only audit but not sure she is ready more complex stuff in max 3. But she continuously surprises me as to how fast she picks up.
When are you likely to rerun max 3.

    Hi
Yes so fast, so fun but opinionated and honest about handler failures.

Yes she was more jumoy in these. I think she was much more out of her comfort zone and unsure what I wanted. This was stuff we havent done anything on and she was saying but but … Got less jumpy when she started to understand what I wanted. Also she was quite hyped – not sure why- it was cooler.
I loved that she was working for food- something that is just starting to work. I have been taking her out on a toy but then have trouble with her focusing on where is the toy. We are working on this spearately . At the moment anything that does not involve movement is a struggle- she is like a wide up toy. Again we are working on waits staying on mats separately as otherwise I am trying to manage too many things. She is alot more focused on me too and wanting to offer behaviours I think is producing the bouncing at the start. It is a hurry up whta are we doing. I do like just need to modify it …

    Hi

    Thanks
here is our start of week 4.
we strugled with the wrap around I think looking at video I needed to shift eyes more I thought I was but didnt look same in video . I did break this one down as she was not understanding and I dont thin I have done it with her before the wrap away. The away it self she developed an understanding faster when I got it right
