Yes! I see that! If we can beat the rain, I will try that as well as the RC. Also, with so many days inside, I decided to work stays and teach our new release word. Break! Yeah, that went well! She’s young and bright. With less distractions inside she can focus on new stuff easier. I work this a bit with just one jump each time before we end our training session outside. So up next will be the ladder. Thanks!

    Greetings!
I’m sure you are still resting up. When you get to it, here are a couple videos. Finally catching up on things, being cleared for a bit more activity, and some better weather. Smiley Face went okay, but not video. Rear cross, needs way more attention than she was giving me. Yesterday we got a chance to try, “wind in your hair”, with many distractions, it went okay. She’s keen on that MM! Then we tried the “find the jump”, no great videos on that one, though I will post the “blooper” one after today’s good one. She was really into that. Working outside has its challenges, we are getting there though.
    Wind in your hair:

    Find the jump:

The one from Sunday. It was amusing in that she just did it her own way. “Like this?”

Thanks! Plenty to work on. No outside time again today. More wind 😕 I want to take all these suggestions outside, with more space. But my temporary fencing keeps getting blown over! Xrays tomorrow. Wish us luck!

    Greetings from Kishkaland.
I’m sending two videos, one each side, of the sends and serps. Is this right? It felt right! Soon we will take this outside, so less slipping, though put the old rug down was a plan until Paul had to clean up water from a roof leak 🙄 Lots of rain.
Anyway, let me know if we are on the right path. The left and right ( minny pinny) went well, but no video as Paul was also working with Chitlin on her L/R, so we didn’t think to do it.
    Here are the two videos.

Yes, we had a bit of a glitch on the second side as she was trying to go between my legs. She likes that and it’s kind of her “go to” thing. It will be handy though.
    Thanks!

Another thing, thinking on the L/R thing. Handling, though I’ve titled several dogs in the past 25 years, has never been my strong suit. It became more important running Biscuit. Something that dawned on me, adding to my current challenges, I have to use my right hand to signal my dog to turn left! And vice versa! I’ll get there. These pup classes have helped immensely! More training today!

Oh, on my release of, “Go”. Yes, I will try to come up with another verbal. I do use “Go” to release, though she’s young enough to switch to, “break”. With the others, we’ll Biscuit mainly, “go” to release is different in my tone and inflection than run ahead, “Go! Go!” I’ll noodle with this ☺️

    Good morning!
Thanks, many things I’m realizing and in reviewing my videos again, seeing. First, with sends/serps, yes, I totally get sending her, not leaving on a stay. Kinda goes against that, send” part. Remembering all I watch and read, then attempting too many games, that’s my excuse! I will revisit this tomorrow. We are on, “No training break”, today. Also, yes, left, not right. Doh! I totally suck at L and R. Usually Paul catches it. He did earlier when we started the mini pinny. At one point I told Kishka, “Right!”, and she stood there until I kept repeating it and motioned. Paul said, that’s not right! Hard to train the poor pup left and right when the trainer is wrong! 🙄 We will work on that again.
I’m hoping we will be able to get back outside again soon. It’s been lousy weather again. Outside will help with serps and zig zags. I will be able to do the “find the jump after the tunnel too! Thanks!

    Greetings!
A big training day for us! Inside this time. New stuff required more focus, which we had.
First up was the left and right proofing which went pretty well. I did help a bit, but most times she went on verbals. Two videos

Next we did some sends to serps. Not too bad, Paul didn’t get all the videos, but here are a couple.

Then the zig zag jump foundations. Not all sides like I saw with the live class, but she got the concept.

Last but not least… Yes, we actually do have a pretty solid collar grab. I think the other day, pairing it in a training thing, outside, just threw her. Anyway… a bit here

Lots of stuff here. She also had to just sit quietly on the Klimb when Paul worked with Chitlin. Chitlin staying while Kishka retrieved the inflation got her a big jackpot of treats ☺️

    Hi,
Oh she was game to do the tunnel! Just that once through, yeehaw! I could call her back, then she’d just blast back through without any connection to me.
The collar hold, she just stood there, like, “what? Why can’t I go?” I work with her off lead so much that she doesn’t quite get the collar hold. Otoh, when she was cool with it at the run thrus. So… Just too many different things and being outside. It’s frustrating for us both. So time to step back a bit and do things she knows in a less exciting environment. Though she was fine in a training building with other dogs and people. I’m blaming her teenagerishness.

Good afternoon. No video of the afternoon outside session. 8 1/2 month old dog. Two steps forward, three steps back. Collar holding caused major confusion. Tunnel exits caused too much running, no focus, being outside. The area isn’t big, but bigger than the area in the barn, and outside. So… the advanced bit didn’t happen and I settled for some stays and release to the tunnel, to me. A couple wraps with verbals, though not as well executed as in the barn. Just total lack of focus. This can be such a difficult age, and with lack of free running, worse 😕 We take our successes where we can get them. So we will take this back inside. I do use “go” a lot in agility. As a release and as a go on, depending on the circumstance. Old habits are hard to break.
I will do some flyball stuff with her in the future. She has a pretty solid stationary ball retrieve to a tug. She likes that game. She has foundations on several sports, we just need to get her sound.

Good morning. This was what we worked on yesterday. Just a short video.

I’m going to try the more advanced version outside today. But she seems to get the concept. I noted from rewatching your video that I’m using the opposite verbals. I guess it doesn’t matter as long as she knows what it means! Choo, choo choo, is exciting for her ☺️ Also, Saturday we had our club run thrus. I did a short lead out with the bar on the 2” mark, to a tunnel, with Paul on the other end with her tug. She was great. And this in a very exciting environment with people and dogs. She stayed right with us and worked a bit.

Good afternoon. We set it up with the distancing you suggested. Stays were, um, not perfect, but okay. Paul thought she was driving ahead better. In watching, I agree. Thought?

    Good morning!
Okay, first off, I’d say the space between the two jumps was about 3’, to the MM, another 3’. I can noodle with the spacing today. This was our first attempt. The space I have is 20’, so a bit more room to play with. I am looking forward to doing some outside training. Way, way, more distracting, so in a smaller fenced off area, a bridge of sorts.

Her next Xray is at the end of the month. She will be almost 9 months. Once we see what’s up with the growth plate closure, then some rehab before free flight. I will show videos to both my vet and the PT. Thanks!

Here are a couple of videos for the Set Point. The foot movements seem like they are what you are looking for. I kinda guessed on distances, plus dealing with a 20’ long space. The rug helped with stays. Paul didn’t video the first session within the “box”. She got the concept. Her stays are improving, we work those in the kitchen a lot.

I do think her lack of free running has created a lot of zest for training. We order some plastic fencing to fence off an area behind the barn. So until then, some games will wait. Though Paul and Chitlin are going to try out the Smiley Face, Kishka will need to wait a bit.

    Good Morning,
Here is yesterday’s session. Holding her collar seemed to confuse her, but she clearly seemed to get the concept after sleeping on it. I hate that this flooring seems more slippery than I had anticipated. Her staying in her place when Chitlin was working was 100% until I released her. That was important! She loves training. We will take a bit of a break for a couple days and just do song long lead walks and kitchen retrieve games.

    Autocorrect 🙄
