ParticipantHere are videos of his sit and down work and taking treats 🙂
And here is my prop and my back and forth dish game 🙂 They were fun. This morning the prop was a solid foot touch.
Started the lick game…he’s great at licking my closed hand…need to pull out glove for my open hand even after the lick.

ParticipantRight now it is just with cookies 🙂 He will bite fingers and even my palm if I have cookies there in his eagerness to get the food. He is, after all, starving to death!!!!!
Prop–I taped before the live session and I honestly thought rolling it was cute and had been short of shaping it LOL. If it’s hard to fade I’ll find a new prop and keep the rolling trick 🙂
Target–I have been doing a hand target with Alex, so this was not a new behavior. With that I have gone to a treat and train (not sure how Alex feels about that yet LOL) and it has been hilarious watching Ted figure out that he makes the treat happen by not going to the machine 🙂 🙂 It was just a little too negatively reinforcing to me to feed him at my palm. He, unfortunately, slurps cookies out of your palm with his teeth. And while we have been working on soft taking treats on his perch when he’s sitting (I’ll shoot a quick video) or when he is in a down (static behaviors), I had to remove it from anything with high energy value for him because it then became a low value exercise for me LOL
I will try the lick game 🙂 🙂 I train with kibble because he is of the opinion there is no low value food 🙂 🙂 And I like the idea of training after dinner 🙂 🙂
