ParticipantOk great! What state are you in?
Regarding tossing cookies on the ground- sometimes that helps to prevent frustration, sometimes it doesn’t. It all depends on the dog and how they are feeling at the moment. For now, continue with what your instructor said. It won’t harm anything and I don’t want to ask you to change too much just yet.

ParticipantGreat question! Anywhere in life. Feel free to include agility in the set of 3 videos.

ParticipantNo worries about the double-posting. Tech accidents happen. 🙂
To schedule sessions to work on the dynamics between the dogs, please email me at my work email address: Bobbie@BehaviorVets.com.
Go to Jen Pinder’s workshops and let’s see how she does. It will help to get additional information.
Do you run FEO/NFC?

ParticipantHi Mary!
Welcome to this class!
For now, I recommend pausing on trials. Even with a toy in the hand, the trial environment is A LOT to deal with. You might consider attending trials as a spectator and practicing some of the games you will be learning in this course, once you have practiced them at home and in less stimulating environments compared to a trial.

ParticipantThank you for the background, Beverly.
The links you shared take me to a doggie daycare application, not videos. Can you please advise?
Bobbie Bhambree
ParticipantYes, he should see the toy. And it should be a toy he is guaranteed to love. Having the toy in your hand will help be a motivating factor, likely bringing his arousal up along the Yerkes-Dodson Arousal Bell Curve. I will be talking more about this concept in a post later this week.
For now, skip the poles.
Scratch all non-FEO runs.
Yes, skip barn trials. It’s one more thing his brain has to manage. Let’s build success in environments that are easier for him and then reassess.
He is a star in class! He is clearly more comfortable there. We will use the class as well to help build his resilience for trials.
