Hi Lynn! Welcome to the course!

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to watch the videos because you have an auditing spot. I’m happy to answer any questions you have by posting them in this thread.

Ok, so let’s do this while you are in this class- for now, only run FEO or NFC. Do not run at a trial without a toy in your hand. We will create a plan over the course of the next few weeks- but start with this. And do not trial at barns. He seems to do better on mats and turf. Do you find this accurate?

Can you post videos of him in class?

Welcome, Sharon! You are hilarious! We all need FACE in our lives, lol!

Can you please add (Audit) to your header, next to your name?

Hello Helen! Welcome to the class! At this time, I recommend pausing agility trialing for the next few months. But continue training at home and in class. Do you have videos of you guys at seminars and in class?

What does the rest of Nuptse’s day look like? What an average day in the life of Nuptse? Can you tell me about your home environment? Other dogs? How is his relationship with them? What is Nuptse like away from agility, such as walking on a leash down the street or a park?

Also, can you send me video of Nuptse walking around the yard, sitting and standing a bunch of times, jumping up and off the couch, going up and down stairs? Although the chiropractor said his spine feels good, there could be other things going on. Let’s check everything. 🙂

Hi Elle! Welcome to the class! Did you see the first assignment? Here is again:

Now that I have introduced myself, please tell me a little bit you about and your dog. What brought you to this course? What struggles are you experiencing? How have you tried to address the issues?

Please include some history about your journey, along with the videos requested below. Having this background information will help me better understand both of you as a team.

    Please post the following:
    • Create a new thread and have the heading appear as the following:
o (YOUR NAME, DOG’S NAME – WORKING OR AUDITING)
    • Share a bit about yourself as I did.
    • Share 2-3 videos of your dog in a class, at a seminar, or at a trial.

Thanks for posting the additional videos. They are super helpful!

The Cato board- are you doing a Training Loop?

There is a lot of emotion directed at tunnels in general. Have you ever shrank the tunnel to then value-build it? Meaning, reinforce generously over a period of time?

In addition, it appears that Gus finds stopping (Go to Place) punishing. I imagine you are trying to help him settle so that he can think about what you are asking of him, but I believe doing this while in motion would work better for Gus. Are you familiar with Pattern Games?

Hi Jackie! So glad to have you in the class! The games should absolutely help! And peak into the other threads to see how the teams work through similar issues. 🙂

    Welcome to the class, Julie!

Yes, there are things we can do for Wager, including addressing his startline–if you would like to. It will help the arousal issues if we can work on his startline, in addition. We do have to take his age into consideration, so please tell me what is a priority for you.

Hi Sarah! Welcome to this class!

Which pattern games did Tracy tell you about? I love neuroscience and have been geeking out about it for the past couple of years!
