ParticipantGreat questions! My dog Marvel is excited by food too. You might chose to use kibble instead. If you keep going through the process, your dog will relax. I was working with an 11-month old Scottie yesterday who is so excited with food. Yesterday was the first time we did it. We were using freeze-dried beef. She settled a bit yesterday but remained standing. This morning, I received a text from her owner saying she laid down. Just try it and if you have a working spot, share a video.

ParticipantI think you should get her checked medically anyway. When a dog is not feeling well, even slightly, they can be more sensitive to environmental stressors. Might as well rule it out. When a dog has particular behavior issues, those issues will seem to magnify when they are not well.
