ParticipantHi.
Here’s our wing wrap update. The upright is about a foot or more away from me.
I’ve notice when she has trouble with this it’s turning to her right. So maybe she’s a lefty.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi.
Here’s our first attempt at plankrobotics.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi. Advancing goat games.
Unfortunately I think I’m repeating some of my same shaping mistakes here, even though I’m trying not to. Yikes.
Before your class, we used to do the bone with smooth side up and she was better at staying on.
The wobble disc used to be one of her favorite things, so not sure why she didn’t want to get on and stay on. I tried using her tug for play on the disc and she seemed to like that, or be able to tolerate what was bothering her about the disc?
Thank you.

ParticipantHi.
Thank you for a fun way to teach her backing up.
To me, rear end awareness, using her back feet seems hard for her. And when she does, separately or picking them up very far also seems hard.
So hopefully we can turn this into a ‘Happy’ game for her.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi.
Took our resilience walk at an outdoor local mall where they have a central courtyard and walking patch down the middle. We went at a non-busy time. She saw people/toddlers/babies/, strollers, suitcases, other dogs, janitors with cleaning carts opening empty trash bags in the air, all sorts of stuff. I didn’t talk, except to the people, didn’t use treats, or direct her. Followed her like just like you said.
She did really well. Wanted to meet and greet everyone, tail wagging. Go into stores, although I didn’t open any doors for her 😉.
She walked ahead, tail up, curious. Occasionally she’d look back at me or came back, circled around me and then back out in front. Kept going, tail up, confident.
Things she didn’t like.. a huge restaurant door slamming, giant trash can dropped, I stepped on a metal plate on the ground which made noise. She flinched a bit at each but recovered quickly.
Also, she didn’t know what to make of the toddlers, but chose to go up and see what they were, coming away happy.
Thanks.

ParticipantWell, like my girl, I definitely have a better, more comfortable side, Left to Right. LOL.

ParticipantHey again.
Gosh, you really threw me for a loop on this one. Rewarding with my off arm across my body was like re-wiring my brain!🤪
I had to practice and practice that without her and still felt like I was doing it wrong.
My instructors are always telling me I’m late, so I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m late on these games too 😉
Thank you.

ParticipantHi.
Here’s Decel baby and double up.
Had to find somewhere to work inside today with our strong wind.
We were having toy malfunctions. I put extensions on them and practiced separately but still had trouble making them work. More practice. Also I was trying to keep her low on the ground, but I can see watching videos back how much she likes to jump up. Will work on that too.
Something else. I’m having to experiment how big to cut her treats. Big enough for her to see, but small enough that she can eat quickly or swallow. I think she would have had trouble seeing them on the turf.
Oh, and no puking even with all the turning. 😉
Thank you.

ParticipantThat makes perfect sense. Smart girl.
I’ll wait. Bbsshay
ParticipantHi again.
Do we modify our training if they’re teething/losing teeth?
Thanks.

ParticipantI am more than happy to delete Its Your Choice from my games. LOL
Also I remember now the times Mochi has barked at me for tug.
It was when I was trying to work on Delayed Reinforcement. I’d have her sit and then wait to release her to the tug. If I waited to long she would bark.
But hasn’t barked as of yet for the tug in a training session.

ParticipantHi.
I thought we’d try the rings this time cause I can throw them farther. It seemed to work well until the end. I can see how putting a line on it would have helped, but then it’s harder to throw??
Also, I tried to wait a bit longer before I released her to the toy. Don’t know if that helped.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi. Here’s a second take on the Prop Game. She seems to be enjoying it.
Thank you.

ParticipantUnfortunately I’ve pulled the same high hamstring getting up from the ground/floor when sitting cross legged several times now. I’ll see if I can kneel instead 👍🏻

ParticipantHi again.
I thought she’d do better going back to treats on this. So I changed the props and food and this is what I got.
Trying to remember not to touch her while tugging, keeping my hand behind my back.
Thank you.
