I think it makes sense. I’m going to try all 3 choices in the morning to see what is better and of course faster. I’ll let you know.

    Hi Tracy,
I’ve been really having a blast with my dogs doing the things in your class.
I was doing an analysis of the sequences for success in Package 2. Master’s level. Drawing lines for the dog and then adding where my path should go.
Masters Seq 1 I had in mind after the tunnel (2) left turn to get the backside of 3 I would do a threadle, then a wrap around the left side of 4 to make a smooth line across 5 and onto the left side of the tunnel 6. I couldn’t (on paper) make my line take a few steps on the dogs path between 3 and 4 unless you took the right side of 4 which in my mind would less direct line to the tunnel (6). There is plenty of space between 5 and 6…. Please let me know what you had in mind.
Masters Seq 2 , #4 is similar, you probably have using the right side wing of 4 which is also similar to your demo video.

That does make sense. Thanks for that idea.
What about getting Pearl more interested in running with me? We have a few acres and a few horses we feed and such, the dogs come with us to do chores and run like the wind with each other. I join in with their runs When I can, but when it’s just one of them and me, I don’t get the same energy. Give me some ideas other than maybe I’m boring. 😊

PS, I set up a small cooler for a reinforcement station. They all like it. I keep a ball in it for Lily along with the treats. It is also a distraction so we are working through that. Any thoughts what may make that smoother?

    Hi Kim,
I have 3 corgis. Dash is 5, Lily is 3 and Pearl is 2. They are my 1st, 2nd and 3rd agility dogs.
Dash and Lily are doing the speed circles well, I use opposition reflex with Dash, it works well. He is very steady, just not very fast doing agility. My regular instructor has helped me get him motivated by playing chase games etc. he doesn’t care about toys but loves, loves, loves food. Lily loves food or toys and moves very fast, but as you’ve described, she slows down with any corrections. I started Dash and Lily at the same time which really helped me learn 2 different styles. Pearl started about a year ago and has no fears of contact equipment, she can run very fast but she doesn’t with me. I play chase games with her, But sometimes she just stops, kinda like she doesn’t want to keep going. It takes a few tries to get a speed circle completed. And they aren’t what you’d call speedy. To get one completed I’ll break it down into segments, reward, … she does like tunnels, I use that to progress further. She likes food better than toys but will play some with toys.

Not bothersome, I meant both are red and white. They’re lovable.

Hi Tracy, I have corgis. You’ve met them. Last December in AZ. 😊
Dash is a 5 year old tri, Lily and Pearl are 3 and 2 respectively and bothersome red and white. I’ll put on a picture if you tell me how.
I have a couple questions on the first skill sets. I realize the numbers are preprinted on all of them, so we should plan based on the lines mostly just guided by the numbers. Does that make sense? Like #3 the path starts at 2, we start there and follow the arrow? I’m guessing yes. This is fun homework.
Did you intend that #4 and #5 are the same and we plan them from each side? I’m not sure I’ve got a handle on that yet though.
However, I’m really excited about this class.
