ParticipantThanks Tracy
For course 3 I never thought of leaving him in the weaves. I guess I wasn’t sure he would take the 7 jump?
For course 2 11-13 – I tried the double push to the backside and he would always knock the second one. I guess I must have been in his way. It has been so hot too so we can only do so many reps. ( I know it doesn’t look like it’s hot based on my clothing but Jamie keeps the house so cold that I leave in clothes and then sweat to death-lol)
Really enjoying the courses and exercises. There are lots of challenges and skills to work. Hopefully after this I will be better at seeing the best handling option for him – look for the slice!

ParticipantThanks for clarifying.
Here are the courses for week 5

ParticipantI think sometimes I was choosing the wrap because I thought it made a nicer line for the upcoming parts. For instance course 2 here jump 3 – I thought the wrap lined him up nicer for 4,5 whereas the slice would make it more zig-zaggy? But I will look for the slices!

Hi Tracy
Here are the masters courses from week 4.
MelanieMelanie Hart
ParticipantThanks Tracy! I will open up more on serps, less swoosh and more gentle brake hand, and explore all the slice options!
On the last one when I did the 360 wrap at 2 – I had actually done it the other way with both a german and a throwback and he always knocked the bar. I think it was either the spacing or he was too hot – I redid the last 2 at home because it was too hot the day I was at the dog club.
Thanks so much for your input!!Melanie Hart

Here are the masters sequences from the last couple of weeks.
One of the courses from week 3 (where I do a whole bunch of threadles!!) I don’t know why I turned him the way I did on jump 5.Those are great questions to ask myself about the handling choices!! I will make sure to ask them!

ParticipantThanks for all of the awesome feedback. I had tge same thoughts as you for alot of it so that makes me feel good!! Aframe does occassionally get creepy. I can totally trust him more in tge weaves. I think he must have been thinking weaves when he turned the wrong way after the jump because he did it a few times! One of the best things for me about this camp is getting your feedback on handling choices. Often I see the different options but I don’t feel I always pick the best one. It is hard to keep up with the work though! That is a good thing – keeps me working!

Hi Tracy
Here are the courses from week 3.
MelanieMelanie Hart
Participantlol – I was thinking before I got to the end – seems like the theme is to trust him more and leave earlier!! Part of the timing issue is I am just not running like normal.I think I do more wraps than germans because he can knock those. We have worked at getting him to set himself up well for those – not taking it on a slice where he seems to knock. Next course I will put some of those in for you!!
Thanks for the feedback!!Melanie Hart

Yes, missing working with you and seeing everyone! I have had a knee issue since sept so I don’t run that well sadly. Gained some covid weight too! Need to get myself back in better shape!Melanie
