ParticipantThank you Tracy for all the time you spent watching these videos and giving such great input! I feel after reading all your comments that Luke and I are coming along as a bonding team. I can’t wait to see how we continue to progress 😃

Demand for target?
This ended up being mostly Luke figuring out what he needed to do to get me to put down the clear target to get those treats.
I had no idea this went on as long as it did. I was so focused on watching him work through this. Unfortunately, he was just outside video range, so you cannot see him offering all sorts of things to get me to put that thing down! Once he figured it out, it wasn’t very pretty with how straight he was, but I’ll take it!Christine Pomicter

Wrap blind with Luke.
By now, he was getting tired of the wing work. He didn’t understand why we kept doing things with the wing. So, this was fairly quick. Mostly just to see if I could get it right and have him understand.Christine Pomicter

Different view. Still no dog.
However, after many of these for me repeating multiple times, I tried it with ChiChi. A seasoned, FAST, dog! (You know ChiChi😉)
I got it with her! And normally, I cannot do much with her because of her speed. Totally different then a Toller.Christine Pomicter

No dog, first of two videos doing wrap blinds.

Wow! This was a process! Luke had never seen a Manner Minder. So, first he freaked out a bit when this thing made noises, so he had to approach it from all directions until he finally figured out there was a cookie that he could take. Once we finally got to understand the ting wasn’t going to grab at him when he approached it, we could start. I found I had to stay relatively close and reassured him a lot for him to do it. But, I was happy with what we actually got on video. He overcame a lot with this so good beginning.
Sue lent me the MM, so I will practice a little more here at home. So proud of how brave Luke was with this! Sometimes he gets a bit freaky and this was just one of those days.Christine Pomicter

Front cross at the wing. This seems to be the better view.Christine Pomicter

Sorry we’re behind! Today we worked on getting everything finished up.
I didn’t get everything on video. But here it goes!
This is pill bug, NOT in my living room 😉😆😆
Obviously I had help today and they were trying very hard to be of help. Hopefully what they saw me doing and what was supposed to be done matched. We read through and watched the videos.Christine Pomicter

Plank 2on2off, using clear target.
I thought the last one we got it. The first couple I felt I struggled a bit, but things finally clicked.Christine Pomicter

Wing wrap, using pole, with front cross and counter motion.Christine Pomicter

Targeting for stop contact with the cookies from heaven 😁
I messed up a bit with the video, didn’t get the tugging before hand, didn’t realize it until too late🙄
I think I did this how you wanted it.
Didn’t do much tonight, had a big day and I think his mind/ body were a bit fried😆Christine Pomicter
ParticipantVerbals:
Certainly I’ve not thought much about this in a while. Training Obie I just did what each teacher along the way said to do. So, some things have words that I remember better then others.
Luke is learning Go!
He’s also getting around and swing for wings and poles.
Tunnel he really likes 😁.
As we’re learning new skills, I’m also picking up more verbals along the way.
I like the left and right idea, as well as a threadle. It’s always interesting to listen to some things people come up with for different things.Christine Pomicter

Beginning plank work.
Luke’s pretty comfortable on planks. He’s worked them before and he’s confident on them. Knows that he can jump down if needed, etc.Christine Pomicter

Wing wrap( using the pole) with me sitting in a chair. He was pretty good with this. Played tug and ignored the pole and chair. Then got to work when I was ready. I wanted to do something fairly fast and easy so I could watch Westminster 😁Christine Pomicter
ParticipantThank you for the guidance! 😁
