Foot target. I used a VERY old mousepadšŸ˜†
It worked fine! He was quite into it.

    Luke getting into a suitcase.
He normally is very quick with most shaping games. He was a bit hesitant on this one I think because of the bars on the bottom of the suitcase frame. He wasn’t quite sure where to put his feet. Poor guy! He was trying so hard! I think once we got past that though, things were better 😁

    Thank you!
The Star Wars playing in the background was not planned but I thought pretty appropriate! Lol! I did find that Obie had a harder time with this. It surprised me a bit because when I break out the treats, both of them will push on each other to be first. They both did better then I thought, so wuite proud of that. It’s something that I’m definitely going to keep up.
Yes, at Tractor Supply he was able to eat treats with no problems. And sit, give me his paw, and even ā€œwavedā€ a couple times! Each time he did something that was asked he of course was rewarded!

Wanted to follow up too. I took Luke ā€œon the roadā€ to Tractor Supply last Monday for about half an hour. I let him wonder the parking lot a little before going in. He was very eager to go in. There’s not many people that are in there, I live in a small town. I let him lead for a little bit, and he decided right away that he wanted to approach people. He actually cared less if he was approached by either a man or woman. He greeted each very well and was very receptive to attention from both. I took him down different isles and got him to do simple things like sit and down. He couldn’t tug much with me but I got him to at least jump on the toy for a split second before he just had to move on. There was one man in particular that he really had no problem with. The guy was wearing a hat and heavy jacket. Luke would not leave him alone. Come to find out, his hands apparently smelled like horses. All in all I was very pleased with his attention back to me and doing simple things. And the approach to people, I was very happy with. I’ll have to take him back and to somewhere else soon

This was not quite as bad as I thought it was going to be with both dogs. I was a little surprised in that Obie had a little harder time of it then Luke did. Hopefully I captured enough ā˜ŗļø

This is where we are now with the tugging. We’ve been working on it every night, and I think we’re doing better!😁
    At least, I hope so!!

Where our backing up is now. I’m pretty happy that we’ve gotten this! We’ve started to do a little of this using a hard plastic dish upside down because it’s a different shape and is smaller. He’s starting to get the idea.

This is backing up. I don’t think this is the best video of it because of how I ended up sitting. But, I’m sure you can see what you need. If not, please tell me and I’ll redo it.😁

Here’s our collar grab. I try to do this at random times. Although almost every time I am using his leash. Mostly so he doesn’t back away. That’s helped a lot. When he was younger, each time I would reach for him to either hook up or unhook his leash, he would back up. Since I’ve done this on a pretty regular basis, he just stands still.

Could you recommend a few things for the goat game? He’s been up or in pretty much everything that I can think of in the house. I was considering the grooming table ( I do want him on that at some point) but I cannot move it. And then I was thinking of having him get into the bathtub, again, cannot move it. And, I don’t know if it’s good to start with something like that or if I’ll need those for later.

Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for the kind words for the drive to toy. He seems to like that game šŸ˜†. I will see if I can start to move a bit.

This bring me the toy was much better. This is more representative of what he normally does when we are playing at night. He does this for a while. And, surprise for me, he started to tug with this toy!! Normally he just brings it and wants me to throw it right away. So I was happy with that too.
