Started with RYG #1 layering stuff though I struggled getting the video in order of how I actually ran everything. Curious to hear your thoughts when we did the sequence for #4 doing a inside turn than an outside turn. Did I look like I was cueing properly for that switch? This is such a useful skill for ASCA gambles especially since they are required to have a turn away from the handler.

This went much better than expected. I guess I don’t need as much get out as I thought!

This morning we tackled the first STD course. I felt like I was able to correct some of my funky lines from the first run with the exception of the opening. I wanted to run it more trial realistic which was not having a HUGE lead out. I think if I had 1-2 more steps I could have gotten her to turn the correct way. Obviously though I didn’t learn how to handle the teeter to tunnel at the end and I ended up just stopping there cuz well I’d already stopped. I’m trying to send so I can layer that jump and telling her tunnel and she’s not wrong seeing that other tunnel straight ahead.

Played around with the second std course. Other than a few tricky spots that I’m sure you’ll see, it went well. sorry about the peanut gallery, it was raining so they came in with me.
It provides good distraction and as I was walking to the back to start the course I asked her to weave between my legs. It’s part of our warm up routine so she does it ALL the time. She couldn’t do it. She acted like she had no clue what I was asking her to do.
Every time I stop when I’m running these big courses, I think crap I’m supposed to keep going. But am I? I feel like with a 20 obstacle course, I can’t keep running the whole thing till “I” get it right. Let me know if/how I should adjust what I’m doing with that.

I also got in some ryg practice, but only got one on video. I’ll post that next.

This does make sense and when i do it it’s a beautiful thing! I had the opportunity tonight to re do some pieces and parts. It went better though do,you notice the bar fall after we were a few jumps away? That’s Samantha playing with us🤣
I also almost bit the dust on the one BC, she got there so fast.

The angle of the video from Monday is not great since I was alone. It just wasn’t going well and sometimes I just need to stop because we were both getting too frustrated.
I like the idea though of sending to the tunnel and doing a BC at the end. I think that would get me up the line the fastest.

This is JWW course #1 and the pop up #1.
I had worked the opening Monday night and could not get the BC 3-4. Either she wouldn’t take the #3 jump or I was so late it was ridiculous so after giving it some thought I went with the rear at 5 knowing she could find her poles and I could still catch up.

    Yes! That would be awesome.

My last post for CAMP, so sad. We had quite a few struggles with these package 5 JWW courses. I had to pick and choose what I went back and worked on (like the ending of course 1, I just left as is 🙂 ). My allergies have really taken their toll on me so I haven’t done any agility for a few weeks and am still not 100%.
Her default in so many places is to wrap rather than slice for a RC. I’m sure I’m not always in the greatest position, but I also feel like it’s just what she does??
As always, this was a fabulous class with great feedback. Thank you.

    Package 4 std courses.
While I got thru the opening on 1, i went back and worked it later. I’m not sure what the best way is for me to do it. I need to be so far ahead at 3 to get both backsides, but how do I get there?
So much of them went well. I “used”Tina as well. That’s the stuff I’ve been trying to do more of. Layering and distance.

First let me apologize, the spectators were supposed to be in the car but it was a down pour, very humid and thunder and lightning. So maybe turn the volume down and assume all verbals were perfect.

I feel like I have a better turning side for the inside threadle and so does she, they just don’t seem to be the same side which I guess is ok. We can even each other out.

The first couple short sequences went really well. I just need to figure out how to get her to turn the correct way on 7 where she needs to dig and I’ll do a spin and I’ll move up the line. I totally agree she’s turning the right way based on what I’m doing. I’m just not sure how to get her to turn left and me still keep moving to get up the line. Maybe let her turn to the right and I just do a blind and get up the line?

Here’s some from last night that shows the poles and the inside turn.

Not gonna say I gave up, but……
These are package 3 jww courses. First one really wasn’t bad then moved on to 2.
As you can see at the end, looking at the new window dressing was more entertaining, lol!!!

It seemed like all our holes were uncovered in one course. How’d you do that?
I was stuck on 3-4 forever. Tried again last night then again tonight. How can it be so hard to get that jump 3 out if the tunnel. I thought maybe I should use dig instead of push since she’d coming at it that way and would help her know how to take it. I was always in her way, bar kept coming down then I’d tell GO for jump 4 and it’d propel her off course.
Fast forward to getting her to turn out of the weaves correctly. She kept turning to her left and cutting back thru.
Fast forward to my inside turn mememe and we at least broke that down and got it. I didn’t include video. It was hard to see at that end. So I’ve got some pieces and parts that need help😊

Package 3 std courses – These looked harder on paper than they ended up being. Not that I aced them, lol.
I redid the DW a few times to work thru her stopping early before moving on to course 2.
The 2nd course was going so well till it wasn’t 🤣 then that dang frame out a tunnel. I was clearly telling her to climb early, but then driving home was wondering if GO would be better to she knows to drive out straight.

Loved these. Unfortunately had limited time to work them. I had 1 issue on each one that’ll be pretty obvious😁
The rest of the month is free from trials and seminars so we’ll have lots of time to train. Need to work my ininin at a higher state of arousal, she’s not getting it at trials. That’s my come take my side of the jump cue. So instead I stop dead and clap, lol!!!
