ParticipantAlso did three quick reps on table to teeter. No towel tonight.

ParticipantWe tried the speed to wobble board tonight. And outside for the first time. Yay for spring!

ParticipantWe’ve been at a herding clinic all weekend so I was lazy and did the exact same thing as yesterday. Tomorrow I’ll probably change it up when I’m not so tired. We did table to table with three reps this time. I kept the towel for the first rep but not as padded as yesterday. Then I took it out for the last two.

ParticipantOh that’s interesting. I was thinking she was unsure/hesitant. But now that you say she’s just trying to figure out the weight shift and I rewatch it, it does look like that more than hesitancy. That’s exciting 😊

ParticipantTeeter to table again. Two reps. One with the towel where we left off yesterday and one without it. And lots of peanut butter. Still a little hesitation at the pivot but I think you’re right she just needs to play the game a few more times.

ParticipantHere is table to table. I had to make new legs for the table at a few different intervals so I can’t change it in super small increments like I’d prefer. But I added a towel underneath so it wasn’t as significant a drop. She definitely was unsure of the pivot. I folded up the towel for even less of a drop for a rep or two then went back to what she was at, at the start. I think she got more confident after that. Good to know she probably needs a little less next time.

ParticipantHere is mountain climbers. This is my other teeter which has a lot of give to it and is very different from the others she’s been on. I didn’t put any tip on this and just wanted to have her get on something different.

ParticipantThen we moved onto the bang game. We actually increased the tip throughout this session and really didn’t seem to phase her which, again, really happy about. However not sure how great my mechanics were here 😂. I don’t multi task well so I was pretty focused on the increased tip over what I was doing.

ParticipantWe had another little lesson tonight so we worked the mountain climbers 3 in a new place. Right before this session we played on the peanut for a bit to get used to some movement and she got right onto this setup with very little hesitation afterwards. I really loved her confidence on this set up in a new place. Definitely think working on the movement with the peanut separately really helped her.

ParticipantHere’s our set-up for mountain climbers 3. I don’t think I got the weight shift that we are looking for. She was very tentative at first (pretty typical with the novel set up) but got better as we went. I have a bigger peanut that I could use but not sure about where I should be delivering the treat from.

ParticipantOk I’ll probably be the one needing help with the mechanics because what you just described I totally thought I was doing LOL. But, yes I do see the difference. Understanding vs. actually doing it is the hard part apparently ha.

ParticipantHi Tracy – not sure if you saw this one or not or if you also wanted me to add more tip for this game too?

ParticipantThe second session we did table to table. I really like how confident she is now that she knows it’s just going downhill. I recalled her into me a few times, sent her ahead, and ran alongside her. We just got about 5 inches of snow so it might be a bit before I get to go outside. So not much room for other challenges.

ParticipantWe did two sessions tonight with a little break in between. We started with the bang game first. I kept one cone for a reminder at the beginning and then moved to no cones.

ParticipantHere’s session 3 on backing up. We started on the wobble board and switched over to the teeter with a small tip. I still think she’s unsure when backing up onto the teeter with a tip but seems happy to keep trying.
