So I was thinking I wasn’t quite doing that right when I started but figured it was the same concept lol. So to clarify, a tandem turn is when you and the dog are turning the same direction together? Lap turn, handler is facing dog and going back the same direction?

Here’s teeter foundations. We’ve worked the bang game some but this is our first time doing 2o2o on the teeter and backing up on it too.

Figured we could move onto the next level exercises like you suggested and we might just skip the 3 wing ladder since two wing ladder is so similar. Here is the tandem turns. We spent a long time breaking this down…not so much the actual turn on the wing but coming into hand – especially out of the tunnel.

Here’s the tunnel to two wing ladder. Seemed like all the mistakes we had was because I was on her line.

Well this is helpful. I have to remember to not do all the things at once for her. Definitely a learning curve for me since I just tend to run and that really affects her in ways I don’t expect.

<In this case… she was following the handling nicely 🙂 She is making decisions and blasting to the line as soon as she sees the exit of the wing wrap. Definitely reward those moments!>

Completely agree. I rewatched this a few times after I posted and realized I was sending her off course. I think I was assuming I was having the same issue as the wing countermotion commitment game but no.

Here was Tunnel to a Wing. We had the same kind of problem in this exercise. She was going out and taking the other wing instead of the tunnel. Why are straight lines so hard?

Really struggled on this exercise. Not sure what I was doing wrong except maybe bending over too much and adding pressure?

Here is motion override. I was REALLY happy with this session. I thought this would be really hard for her. This is also great timing because it was something I wanted to work on with her. I think I need a little more space next time though.

Here’s our straight line session. We had lots of straight lines just not necessarily over obstacles lol. BUT – I did get rear crosses and wraps first tries. So I guess you win some you lose some. The one mistake that actually frustrated me was the jump after the tunnel. I broke it down multiple times (not in video) and even moved the jump over to make it easier and she would still go around it.

Here is the warm-up for straight lines. I actually got through more of this exercise but I didn’t have enough space on my phone so lost most of it. We’ll try those ones again tomorrow. I actually think I was getting better at the rears. The reps I did get on video, I got the turns for the rear crosses but I was pushing her off the jump/wrap.

Alright. Saved this for last because i hate rear crosses and completely overthink them. It’s like you tell me to rear cross and I inherently overcomplicate it with my body movement. When I do it on the fly – perfect. I only did one side and broke it down more for myself than her ha. I could get a few good reps from a stand still on one jump but when I added running I messed it up every time. I can absolutely see what I’m doing wrong in the video but I don’t know how to fix it when I’m doing it. I should just pretend I’m doing a wrap with her and she’ll read cross since those went so well too LOL!

Here is Next level 1. First couple of reps I did not run with her so redid them so I at least was running alongside.

Tried a couple more reps with the FC to wrap but I don’t think it went much better than the first time. I think the only thing that did go better was that I completed my crosses more timely and was not making the L-shape to get her to turn (it is a different camera angle but it seems like I wasn’t on the video?) But I obviously was not deceling correctly. Sometimes I honestly don’t know if she is actually listening to me, but I was really happy with the last rep. She went around jump 4 but it was because she was really paying attention/listening. I gave her no cue on that jump and I accidentally handled right around it.
