ParticipantHere is Missy P showing off her Banana bends and BIG Banana bends, lol! Yup, we’ve been working on her RC mat work and we’re quite pleased with our progress 😁
And as a BONUS – if you have your speakers on, you’ll hear our secret weapon (shared with permission from Silvia Trkman) – a *squeaker mat*! It’s homemade; I’m on version 2.0 and dang I love it!! So much better than that annoying bleeping doormat thing!

ParticipantI am posting me working on this from Week 7 because between interruptions for stoopid things like Extreme Heat Advisories and starting back to skool (:-P) we haven’t had a chance to video Annalise on Tunnel Threadles. But you just gotta watch how brilliant Prytania is…
Susan Fraser
ParticipantWe went out early to beat the heat, which also means it was before my second cuppa coffee…
So here’s Tap and Landem turns, lol, since I see from my video that I hardly ever got myself in position to be fully facing toward OR away as she approached so they’re both pretty much the same body language with me more sideways facing the wing. Hrmph.
But the good news is that wherever I was or however I was facing, she read the threadle arm really good and so her brilliance bailed out the old momma and I’m gonna call this session was a resounding win – Good girlie!!Susan Fraser
ParticipantAnnalise and Prytania doing some mountain climbing, with a chute for entries on the way up and some 2o2o on the way down.

ParticipantMeanwhile back at the ranch… lol! Here’s a short of Prytania practicing some discriminations. We used her fave go-to thing: her mat! So it was a 3-way discrimination – Spin to go to mat and turn 180 left, Twist to go to mat and turn 180 right, and Tunnel Tunnel Tunnel!
Baby girl does love her mat, only once declaring that she has a preference for mat over tunnel, haha!Susan Fraser
ParticipantSpeed Junkie R Us, LOL!
OK, so I’ll stick to just run to the top and ride it down. With an initial nose target that will fade to the final crouched end position – it’s more a foot target!
Haha, kinda like this?

ParticipantHmmm, I was actually shaping FOR the sit, thinking that would capture the weight shift back. Interesting.
If a tall dog (she’s going to be close to but hopefully under 22”) stands and touches nose to ground/target, my thinking was that is a weight shift forward. So I put her on the taller platform to encourage weight back on haunches on purpose. It’s early, so can change it. Obviously I want 2o2o for teeter – A-frame and DW will be running – so is there an advantage to standing? Is there another way to get the run-to-the-end with weight shift back and then into 2o2o? Now I’m questioning!
I have taught before with repeated nose touching to ground but I fade that. Voulez and Gitchi both naturally shift weight back at tipping point but end up pushing down with rear feet as board makes contact, front feet off the board. So both tend to “run” the teeter unless reminded to stop fully and “wait” in 2o2o. It’s legal and great for big events, no time lost, but it does mean the 2o2o “wait” needs frequent reinforcement.
What do you think?

ParticipantAmy, Annalise and fam were in Yellowstone last week, and after I got a shingles vaccine plus a Covid booster, I recovered by dog-sitting (emphasis on sitting!) at their house. So it was PERFECT timing to have this quasi-break – I totally believe in breaks!!
So Prytania’s done some conditioning, rear end awareness tricks, AND Lazy Game Contact Position!!

ParticipantHaha Carrie! Reminds me of the cream cheese in the cup to get the stacked pictures of the pups!!

ParticipantLate afternoon, we went out for a “one and done” because it’s too hot to repeat anything. My goal was to try week 2’s bonuses: blind cross to tunnel (once each way) and the rear cross (once each way) and be in and out in under 5 minutes.
And Cowabunga – she aced ‘em all!!Susan Fraser
ParticipantTeeter Foundations: Love The Slam And Hind End Combo!
Her wuvs her widdul wobbleboard – she thinks it tastes a lot like cheese, LOL! So no problem so far with the slam.
From MaxPup 1 she already has a good long back up to rear feet on an object, _if the object is wide enough since she tends to back up crooked (she always pulls to her left). So this was two firsts: one was that the plank moved, and she had no issue with that.
But also the new was narrowness of the object to hit with rear feet. So I helped her by blocking that left side.
We did a couple moving sits, and we’re calling it a day. Thank goodness for air conditioning!!!Susan Fraser
ParticipantHere’s three shorts (yes they’re made for kids, lol!) from this morning at Carrie’s
Mountain climber – very pleased, nimble lil girlie-goat turned around both directions.
Plank confidence – check!
And Concept Transfer: Wraps
This was the first try!
Woo hoo! MaxPup R Us!!

ParticipantLazy Game Parts 2 & 3
TTFG refresher, then sends to 2, then add verbals, then with some motion from me. Except that I look like I’m bowling, it went good!

ParticipantOne Step Sends – first session short and sweet
The bad news is we’ve been under an extreme heat advisory it seems like for forever, but the good news is that she’s one bored puppy having to hang inside in the ac and so is ready to geaux after a tiny break in the weather (heat index just under 100).
So you’ll see her actually anticipating the send to the wrap – “good girlie but you gotta wait for the magic word” lol! – and even offering a wrap without being sent. (Annalise and Amy will be so happy to see her show enthusiasm for wraps when they get back from France!!)Happy 10 month birthday Prytania and Audubon!
Adding second session – that first session went so well, I was inspired to go back out and stretch out the distance and add exits. I see looking at my video I did not keep same side arm back to pick up after after wrap but I think I have my wings set more straight out so the line beck to the tunnel was not as much a curve as how you had yours set. (I’ll have to let Annalise work on those mechanics when she gets back.)
But how ‘bout them sends, huhhuhhuh??!!!-
