ParticipantHere’s our first session of “wind in your hair.” Really happy with this one. She’s driving ahead of me nicely, which is something we’ve been working hard on.” She loves the chase game and working ahead is a little harder for her. The toy I was using doesn’t fly well 😆. But, it has a long handle which is necessary. She also doesn’t seem to take off with this one. She likes to pluck at it while she waits for me to get to her. There were several times that she picked it up and brought it to me, which is super encouraging!

ParticipantHere is our Set Point session. 5 foot spacing bar at 6”. We’ve done this exercise a few times in zoom lessons with Jen Pinder. We’ve been setting up about 1.5-2 feet away from the jump bump, but I think the spacing was closer to 4 feet. I noticed on video review when I had her a tiny bit closer it was a cleaner push off from the rear. When she’s a bit farther back she puts one forelimb down prior to take off. We did this exercise first thing in our training session and I initially got her a little too revved up between, so there were some questions from her. The end of the session was more clear. Happy for any recommendations!

ParticipantMy how time seems to be flying by. Such a busy time of year. Here’s a snippet of some tunnel work that we’ve done over the last two weeks. We’ve been working on things, I’m just failing at editing video and posting 😆. Here’s a start. Hoping to have a little catch up time on things once Christmas orders are out!
We only did tunnel threadle on one side because it was all her brain could take at the time. As I was watching the tunnel threadle video I realized I was still giving her the “tunnel” verbal. At this point, based on her position, I’m sure it’s fine? But, I assume I should start using her “pass” verbal for this?

ParticipantHello!! Hope you’ve had an amazing Brain Camp! So sad I couldn’t be there 🙁. Here are several videos from our recent sessions. Sorry for posting them all at once. I was having trouble getting them uploaded to YouTube. So happy with everything this puppy does. She’s such a good worker. She definitely loves the chase games! We had a good blind cross session today, however I failed to start the recording apparently 😆 (We’ll try again tomorrow. Lol). She’s pretty comfortable with the movement of the wobble boards. I need to add noise! Our backing up session went well. She’s done targeting rear feet previously. The prop work went well for the most part. She has more difficulty turning to the left and there were some questions there, but she sorted it out well. Our wrap session went really well. She did get offended by toy fuzz stuck in her mouth toward the end 😆. But, she came back and finished off strong. I did leave a bit early a few reps (I noticed it when I watched in slow mo. – but she was committed).

ParticipantI’m a bit behind in getting videos posted. Here are 3 from a recent training session.
The wing wrap shaping session went well. It’s a short video as I forgot to grab a toy. I went for the toy then forgot to start the camera again 😆. But, she seems to understand it well.
I added a long line to her toy for her driving ahead session, so I could reel her in. The added movement away from her did help encourage her to bring it back and I just reeled her in to encourage her to continue when she made the turn toward me. It’s definitely a work in progress. Teresa was a big help in this area in our training yesterday.
The blind cross session went well and as expected, she loved the chase!

ParticipantShe’ll LOVE more running! I realized as I watched the video that I should have moved some obstacles off a bit. I’ll definitely be more aware of that in the future! Thanks so much for your feedback!

ParticipantI forgot to post our first session of blind cross foundations. I sort of failed and misjudged the space on the video, so Cha Cha is out of the frame at the beginning. The video doesn’t lie and I was a bit inconsistent with her marker cue for her tossed cookie. I finally got it together at the end 🙈. I was a bit late on a couple of reps, but realized it pretty quickly. I think I even commented on one of them. All in all, she was pretty perfect. I need some work 🤣.

ParticipantHi! Here’s two short sessions of Deceleration. She wasn’t super excited about this game 😆. We tried a second session with a toy reward between each rep.

ParticipantProp Game 1. She had some questions at about the 1 minute mark. She struggles more turning to the right. I rewarded her for a nose touch to reset. She was pretty consistent after that. 😃

ParticipantLast one for tonight. Here is our first session with Driving Ahead. She loves this game!! Retrieve was not automatically installed in this puppy. She’s totally party of one. We’re working on her retrieve in a small space at home, but it would be a total fail in this huge space (thus the long handle tug) 😆
