How does time move so quickly??? Weather and judging have kept us quieter but we are still working. Moving on to our first try at Week 3!

Ok trying again! Better on the straight jumps this time (helped by throwing ball first a couple times). Still having some questions about the right wrap so had to back up a bit. Still working on changing the verbal cadence!

I am trying to remember to walk but my yard is oh so tiny and the dog is fast – and yes, the yard is sloped!
Trying to change the cadence of my left wrap command so it’s a bit different than the right wrap as per your suggestion. I need to think about it a bit more as I keep forgetting haha and it wasn’t super different here but any other ideas welcome.
Not sure her jumping is any different but ya know, progress!
Ok, I forgot to video the other game we did in the live class, but we worked a little today! She tries hard despite my occasional lack of connection and terrible toy throwing.
When they are wrapping wings does it matter to them where the jump cups are? Like in the smile game, technically at first she was doing backside wraps… Or is my human brain just thinking too hard? 😀
Also – sorry – this video has two games so is 3+ min – is this ok or should I do a vid for each one?
Ummm so I can’t fit all that stuff in my living room, not by a long shot. 🙂 Should I plan to go to go to my agility field?
Thank you, that was incredibly helpful feedback!! We worked a little more on restraint for food, and will keep working on it and the driving to the toy, and report back!
We tried the wing wrap shaping game with the prop. She caught onto this pretty quickly, with a minor bit of confusion, but no biggie!

Here we are playing the Drive Ahead/Focus Forward game. We are working on our toy skills and have been a lot for the past couple months – she has a really great retrieve and she will drop the toy and I mark and reward that often, but have not yet put the drop on a cue so we are using two toys here since she is used to that framework.
What we have NOT worked on is any sort of restraint yet, as is pretty obvious here! She doesn’t have a collar on today, and I prefer to restrain my dogs lightly on their chests anyway as I don’t train with collars on in agility, so we are trying that. She seemed to settle in a bit once I’d done it a few times.
I noticed that she did respond to my pressure/touch by backing up and even going behind me, so not sure if the collar would help with that (we are working on offering the collar for grabs as a separate skill, also).
She was SO into tugging today, I have never heard her vocalize this much, so funny! Also I don’t think I’m ever gonna beat her to that toy!!!
