Hello Kimberly – Here are 2 videos showing our latest progress,
    Warm ups samples with backups
Speed Circle – There are still head checks – Is it because I decelerated?

Kim, thanks for the comments. I agree the discrimination was a challenge for him. I’m going to try easier runs.
I think the speed is almost the same at trials. But one thing though, I know he can run faster than was was videoed. I’m going to add the motivating factor and see how that helps. We will have another recording tomorrow morning.
We rent the space every Wed morning.

    Hi Kimberly,
Sorry we had been late with our posting. Here is a sample of warm up exercises that I did. And followed by a sample course that had been set up by the rental place. I picked one close to the one you had in your samples. I hope that is alright. We are not allowed to move the obstacles.

Hi Tracy – Yes! It makes total sense on what you had shared and advice. ” visualize how to call the dog back and settle her, or add things to the dog’s trial day routine to help her. And use release valves and reframing to help overcome the worry that it might happen.” That is a great one! I need to work on the visualization.

As I was sharing this, I also need to add something else. Sometimes I may think I am calm, but my tone because of a moment of disappointment can cause the dog to shut down more. For example, I just watched my video run this past weekend. Trooper (my super sensitive dog) was at the start line, had a good stay, and when I released him, he came to me but veered off the second jump, and I said, “Oh NO!!!” quite loud. And that scared him off more and he decided to sniff and run off and did a major zoomie! I need to practice visualizing what I need to do when dog goes off course, and how to get him back.

Here is the video – Not really proud of what I did – but I learned from the experience.

Tracy – It is working now! I guess I got too excited after signing up for the course. And was thinking the links would immediately work! Now it is active 🙂 Here is a screencast – http://somup.com/cqXlILf2IW

Thank you for responding so quickly. Looking forward to learning in mastering some concepts here.
