ParticipantWe never posted the teeter board game last week. This happened mostly because I could not get to a teeter to video this, and also because J does not have any trouble with the banging sound or the teeter at this time. She is really good on rear end awareness, and we work on this with back ups on to a number of objects at home. I can still get this video at some time and if I do I will go ahead and post it for your input.
Today we worked on Tunnel to one wing. The first side seems to be our best side
The first video if for the tunnel to FC.We stayed on that side for the spin to BC and opposite side of tunnel.
Neither were perfect, and I look forward to your feedback, but she understood what was wanted in both cases.
The next video we changed sides and the FC was really wide. I tried to make corrections to this but was not quite getting things right. I noticed my connection was not good after the wing wrap
For the last video I did the spin on the second side. She was super wide coming around the wing. I tried to drop a toy to tighten this up after this video without much success. I struggle on this side so what ever you can tell me to help our work here will be appreciated.
By the way JJ went 14/16 in scent work this weekend finishing up her CPE level 2 title. Her twin went 16/16, but Autumn’s main sport is scent work where as JJ is working on everything from agility to obedience to rally to scent to disc…… 🙂

ParticipantWill let you know how the weekend went after tomorrow’s trial. I have the missing video and some more straight line work bloopers and all.
Here is the missing video. Many things looked good, but the first part was intended to be a backside🤪
Then I redid the backside…
Switching sides got short changed for time due to rain, but here are 3 shorties doing the backside two with major oops moments.
Wrong side for me:

ParticipantThanks for the feedback. I will return to posting more of the straight line work. My issue with the FC is not slowing down and then somehow cuing J to turn away not towards me.
I must have missed posting the last video. Will look in to that later. I am judging scent work this weekend so time is at a premium.
For tonight…Wing game first tries.
I only had 2 wings available and ran out of time with the rain coming in.
There are some bloopers and J is often more interested in her surrounding obstacles.

ParticipantSo today we worked a lot on our straight line work. We had success and non success moments, but all moments bringing us closer to good movement.
JJ had absolutely no problem with the straight send out no matter when i put it in the rotation.
We had more difficulty with the other three mostly because of my timing or movement or lack of proper information for J.At different times we worked from a simple ” at the end of the tunnel send” to the more complex jump tunnel jump jump sequence and back to the tunnel and jump.
When I gave good information J had great success returning through the tunnel and going ack over the jump even though it kind of sent her in to the woods. LOLI have no idea what was going on while we practiced and got the video. It sounds like gun shot, which should not be happening this time of the year.
Anyway getting back to our clips. The first one is the back side. With a little work breaking this down again we did ok.
The second-3rd video we were working on the RC struggling at first:
A little better here:
We worked on the FC. We really had difficulty with this and when we tried to put it more together we failed each time.
Trying to put it together tool=k a short turn here. You can see some of my failures on the FC and the good straight line send out at the beginning here. Not sure what happened to my BS video. I do not think it is in the mix.

ParticipantNo new video today. I did not have my photographer or my tripod, but we worked on the contact sit game. JJ did amazing on both of my sides at a variety of speeds with only a verbal Sit command. I thought it would take more work than this. She amazes me on a regular basis.
Also I think that Ken may have accidentally posted his comment to you on my thread. 😁

ParticipantContacts foundation: motion overdrive.
It took a couple times, but Jay seemed to settle into this pretty fast. We tried it slow and then spread things up a little bit. The one time it was a bit funny she actually stopped to pee not sit. Other than that it went pretty smoothly.
Slow movement:

ParticipantAdditional footage after reviewing my first attempts.
Difficult side still wide wraps but my position is a bit better. Need to work more on timing.
We moved the tunnel to a dryer part of the yard, but J thought the tree was an obstacle so I needed to break things down for her.
One final run on our better side.
I also played more with the send outs with me running as per your last comments, and J still did great with these.

ParticipantThanks we will add motion and verbals to this game. I was not as sure where the tunnel opening should point. It sounds like there are advantages for learning both ways. When we go out we have so much to work on.
I did have a quick couple of videos on the FC.
I took these the other day and already see lots to work on. On the first one it looks like I never really sent J and then my turn and go was late on the wrap. On the he other side I was more of a mess and was on her line. In the second clip I was slightly better, but not good. I will work on these this afternoon too.

ParticipantIt looks like I have a lot of work to do on my timing for the BC’s. I will get out and work more on these this weekend.
We worked on the looking ahead both baby and advanced levels on both sides. JJ seems pretty confident on these .

Side 2 advanced:
Hopefully the set up was ok. I need better bags on the tunnel. It moved around like crazy.

ParticipantBC to tunnel work with oops moments. Why did I lose her so bad on the second run. Then I over compensated in the next run. https://youtu.be/F-UidnS3pc4?si=wYCMl4nggHUzjq62
Try 2 side 2: Better side so far, however I list connection in first and third runs. I can’t figure out what hand to have the reward in and when switching it I am not moving smoothly.
Try 3: I am getting sloppy on my releases. Need to be careful about that.
Try 4: I felt like I was moving better, and timing was better, but still lost contact with her the one time.

ParticipantFluffy blind cross day. One side was pretty successful although you can see on the second run where I lost connection.
Second clip, good side first and then blooper side next. First I was not in the correct place and once I got her to wrap after the cross she went really wide around the peach tree that broke this winter and is lying on the ground. We need help on this.
Third clip tough side again.
I think I finally did a reverse spin to tighten her up. We really need to work on tight wraps.
Totally forgot to put in the front crosses. Will have to do that next time.

ParticipantQuick question… is there a video for the rear cross lesson. I am such a visual learner.

ParticipantThis is great information. I don’t think we’ll be outside today. We had bad storms last night and we’re dropping about 40° today. We definitely started shrinking the target already. It was a full-size lid now. It’s about a 3 inch piece of a lid the lid was actually on the teeter the first time and then later on, I think I was using one on the teeter and one on the floor. She was supposed to be doing a two on two off, but without the one on the floor she wouldn’t do it. The lid had moved with J running after her release.
We don’t get to use the teeter that often. It’s only out at the club every other week. If I had time in my crazy schedule, I could probably go down and pull it out on the off weeks but right now I haven’t had the time. You’re correct about the decel. Unfortunately I felt I had to decel because of the next obstacle. It was jump tunnel but you were supposed to skip the tunnel and wrap back to another jump. When I released her, she went straight to the tunnel. I need to separate teeter work out from other obstacles that are there or make sure that she can go straight onto other things. I should not have had to decel, but I also do not see J being as solid on her contacts yet to race past her consistently ( dog walk earlier that day proved that). We will definitely work on that.
Oh and we found out last night that J does not like storms. She kept me up through the thunder and lightning activities and also through the hail storm. Ugh! Glad I had an appointment this morning and did not end up taking the kids to Rally class. I am tired🤪.

ParticipantSo it was a perfect day to be outside, but I taught 3 classes indoors today so only enjoyed the perfect weather early in the day before I left home. When I got home at 8:30 pm it was still 64 degrees out. Anyway I did not get additional game video today but did want to send your requested teeter video so I have those 3 short clips tonight.
The person who did the video for me seemed to start it once J was at the end of the teeter, but I did get these 3 clips.

ParticipantThanks for the input. I can totally see/hear/feel when my timing is off in a major way, but love hearing the specifics, especially on the subtleties, so I can go back and analyze how to work through it.
I did a couple short videos on the wrap. Timing was really off at the start. I was also not running enough to get in a slow down for collection so had to work on that. I was doing too much sending. Look forward to your input.
