We played earlier today but I didn’t have enough time to post until tonight. We worked on three things but I’m only gonna post the first two tonight we did the lazy game the next levels and then we worked on increased connection and the send outs.

Hopefully this is kind of what we were looking for. I find it hard to keep in mind everything when I go outside and not replace stuff before doing it.

We still struggle with not seeing the treats in the grass.

Here we added more verbals and worked on timing with the verbals and one step sends.

Some redos tonight. First the lazy game with more distance and less treats.

Next two are sensors. I used wings rather than jumps like you said and on video 1 I increased the distance of the wings away from the tunnel. On the second video I used the middle wing more.

PS I never thought the tunnel would come out at home in February. I do not have a teeter here so I can’t send the video of that until we are back at the club.

Wrong plank game video. This is the one I meant to send.

    A little more play here.

Plank game with more work on changing directions and 2 on 2 off. Changing directions continues to be a challenge. J knows she is not really high up so is sloppy. She is also obsessed with the treats. I tried to keep the treats lower this time.

Lazy game with more distance. J found it tough to find her treats buried in the wet dead grass. She seemed to understand this even with the greater distance, but hated when she thought she should get a treat and either she did not see it get dropped or it was when I was not tossing one that time.

Tonight I am sending a couple of redos. The first is the lazy game with more distance

When I turn my back completely to her she sometimes misses the first jump, but her commitment has increased and so has my distance.

There are two videos on the plank game redos. I put the plank up on two fit bones creating a bit more wobble which did not seem to phase her. When she turns around she is a bit erratic, because she is so food obsessed. If she were higher she would not be as careless with the placement of her feet.

I put in greater angles in the other video. She seemed to do fine with this.

Ps I really appreciate all of your feedback so we can grow with these games.

I have a couple of options to make it wobbly. I will try that today and make the entrance angles more tricky. Great ideas. I chuckled when you said treat lower on the turn arounds. I know that, but did not think about it when I was working with her. I will do that too.

I am sending some video on the one arm one leg send out. They are increasingly more complex. I have redos to send next time.

Great ideas we will try them out today. I am adding plank work here for you to see. I forgot I had this baby plank to work with at home.

    Lazy game in two directions.

I will tell you that this was not my first try at this. The first try I used cookies that JJ could not find well so we scrapped that and redid this with the puffed Charlie bears.

Ok let’s see if I can post the correct videos tonight.

The first two are backsides. I think that the wing is still placed wrong, but bloopers are included.

The next two videos I am breaking down the tight wrap.

These last two videos are the tight wrap.

I look forward to your feedback.

Also wondering if there is a class that would be good for J after this.

I am not sure How I do that choosing the wrong video all of the time.

This should be the other video I meant to send last night

Thanks for the input. We will work on this again, and yes this was the first session. I am trying to make sure I shoe the first tries at things so both of us can see the development of the skills.

We have two videos today. #1 is a straight send out without connection

#2 is a breakdown of the backside work.

I decided to break this down a bit for JJ.

I have a bunch of videos today but am only sending one on deliberate disconnection (max pup version) working on backsides.

For some reason mine doesn’t look like yours. JJ didn’t always go for the ball. It looks like maybe I was dropping it late. I couldn’t figure out what hand was supposed to be doing what. I look forward to your input.

Your feedback helped a lot. I did more attempts at this again today and will send, but have my first hard connection/ get out videos first.

First attempt. Trying to coordinate body here and not cross the line

This time I put down a line.

    3rd try both directions

    Combo attempt

    Combo 2 attempt.

Again I am not doing my homework and letting you hear my commentary like I would have liked to do, but we stayed up late watching the Super Bowl and we have class early tomorrow. Not the kind of student I want to be, but wanted to get these out tonight.

Ok here are a few more videos…

First attempts at the threadle. As you can see we had a big learning curve here.

    Breaking it down

    Threadle combo attempt

    Breaking it down side 2

    Struggles

    Making some progress.

I included the good the bad and the ugly. No time for me to do a good evaluation before sending today. I will do that as I read your comments. Thanks!!!

We did not mean to drop off the face of the Earth, but weather closing the club three weeks in a row on the day I go down and then run with a bad cold, kept us from playing for a bit. We have been enjoying the milder weather, and I have a bunch of videos to share. I haven’t had a lot of time to perfect things so a lot of it’s raw.

First attempt. I seem to feel the need to crowd the line.

A little better here, but mechanics are not the best.

    Adding more movement.

    Opposite direction

    Will add more videos tomorrow.
