ParticipantThe barrel was BRILLIANT! He got it right away!

ParticipantOH I NEVER thought of using the barrel! That’s definitely worth a try! I tried angling the jump, but he chose the front side of the jump anyway

ParticipantYeahhhhhh, when I loaded the first video. It didn’t seem to work so I ended up loading it AGAIN and of course then the other one loaded. Sighhhhhh
Yeahhhh, I really like over using my arm. I had to work this in baby steps to get Sid to really understand it. Took us awhile to get it. Then the other side was worse, he didn’t want the backside at all. So we just worked in tiny pieces until he sorta understood it. Think this is gonna need a lot more practice. Tie my hair up and make serious eye contact. IF I didn’t, it just didn’t work at all. BUT he tries. We will definitely need to work MORE at this in order to get the distance.

ParticipantTHANKS, keeping the correct position for him to take the backside is a learning curve for me. My feet were definitely pointing out the wrong way, but he did exactly what my position told him to do. Plus I tend to stall out moving forward so I lost the correct position across the bar and I look forward TOO soon. Yeah the stopping for the treadle just puts me in the wrong spot……. VBG, I will learn the dance steps

ParticipantYeahhhh, I kept waiting and I think it threw my timing all off. Something I definitely need to work on. And working it further away will help! Some practice for this afternoon!

ParticipantSO the angling did help a bit, but after listening to the video again, it seemed best to go to the Puppy version until he understood it better. Vicki suggested this and it worked great for Caper and Sid

ParticipantTHANK you so much! I’ll start the exaggerated low hands and see how that shapes up! SO we are struggling a bit with the backside of the jump? Suggestions on how to start it ? He’s really focused on the front of the jump…..

ParticipantHe’s such a good boy! You’re ABSOLUTELY right! He LOVES the get outs! I’ll work with him later today, just doing the wing turns. He lloked at the jump once but went OH Mom wants this, oops! He really corrected himself nicely, GOOD boy! But he’d really love 💕 to do the get out!
