ParticipantHi!! I filmed this session this morning as an example before I read your comments here. Let me know if I’m doing anything glaringly wrong, otherwise I might try to set up a channel again. The first time I tried that with xoens, it wigged her out, lol. I like the idea of using broad jump planks, so I’ll try that if you think I’m on the right track here. I was trying to mark any time she reached back with a rear leg, even if it was a little sideways.

ParticipantWeather is nasty, so here’s some more wrap stuff.
Also, I’ve been trying to use the method you use for teaching the back up for months. I am banging my head on the wall because she is either not getting it, or just doesn’t like doing it. She will happily do 2on2off all sorts of things, but she faces it first and then turns. She can put her feet in a box and a bowl, she can circle with her front feet on an item and use her back feet. But she will not back up. She’s gotten to where she won’t go for the treat beneath me because it predicts the back up game. I’ve used narrow spaces and tossed food between her feet. She CAN do it, she just does not like it and will not offer it, lol. What can I do to make her more comfortable? Or just leave it for a while?Bonnie Pruett
ParticipantOk, today was a Monday, so we only got a couple things done, 😂. I roped my husband into helping, but it took a couple of minutes to get her comfortable with the concept of him restraining her. We figured it out and then I think she was good. My mechanics could have been better here, but I am was a little distracted having a helper! We also tried again with the two toys. I waited for her to offer the release, let me know how it looked. She was super with me standing up and using treats. No cheating!

ParticipantShe definitely struggles with playing on my left side, regardless of which toy I use (I’ve tried switching) Part of it may be that my mechanics of tugging are better with my right hand. Either way, I doubled the food rewards on the left as I moved to sitting and she made good choices. We also took the show on the road (to a different part of my yard) this morning. The neighbors came out at one point and distracted her a bit, but she recovered nicely. I used her platform that she’s trained stationary positions with to do the drive to handler and I introduced a toy to the prop game. A couple of these were yesterday and I forgot to upload, the others are this morning. Side note, she is really cute 🥰

ParticipantYes, Rider has major FOMO and won’t generally chew or do anything when he knows I’m working someone else, lol. My husband was home working, so I couldn’t leave him inside to bark. Today, he is gone to the office, so I put Rider somewhere a little more out of earshot!
I think I followed your instructions, let me know what you think. On the wing wraps, she was cheating by cutting in, so I scooched myself back and forth accordingly. The wheels were definitely turning as she tried to figure out what I wanted!

ParticipantWe will be spectating, but I used my vacation time and money going to Cynosport this year, lol.
Here are some sessions from this morning. I’m rocking my corgi jammies.

ParticipantYes, I know Elektra and all the Pizza pups 🙂 I have Flynn Rider who is Nadja’s uncle. She is out of Rider’s sister Munchkin and Camper. Elektra is adorable, as all the ITS dogs tend to be 😉 Thanks for the thorough and positive feedback! I’m really glad to be working through this program.

ParticipantNot sure if I’m doing this right, but I watched the live class and then played those games. I’ll put them all here:
