    Hi, tracy,
Thanks for your thoughts on primary and 2ndaary reinforcers.
Here is N in th3e WPs. Needed t o do this before the snow fell, which it did.!@#$%^&
A few days ago tried moving the chair backabout 15 feet farther back then in this video. N was much more hesitant to run to the treats. Thus, moved chair back to current location.
While he is running the WPs, he is not replicationg the enthousiasm that he did the first day, ~ 4 or 5 days ago. He is not driving into the WPs as he did before.

    Hi,
Thanksso much for your clarifying reinforcement on the agility course. Thank you for telling me ab out your current puppy class. Would love to audit your puppy class. Am trying to find where to register. so far have not found registration. Plese tell me how!
    Helen

Found the registration! PS. It is not easy to find clasess to register for on this website. I would think that you would want a list of clses and registration to be up front and clear on the website.
And yes, I am so glad to have signed up. WE need direction! Thank you!

    Hi,
Going back to your comments on Dec 10th.

    >>B. gradually add more obstacles after the WPs Before getting the Reinforcement.

Yes – bearing in mind that you are no longer reinforcing the weaves, specifically, at that point. The reinforcement is more of the ‘general’ remote reinforcement for the entire sequence and not the weaves. In that situation, the reinforcement for the weaves is the cue to continue.

So, when I begin to add more obstacles after the WPs, if I just add a tunnel and reinforce that nseveral times, would that build value for the obstacle after the WPs and enhaance the cue to continue?
Adding to that thought, just like placing the Remote RFMT farther and farther back from the start of the WPs, wouldn’t adding obsctacles after the WPs be similar in that you would want to place the Remote RFMT after successive obstacles?

PS Are ou going to be doing any puppy classes in the near future?

    Hi, Tracy,
Thanks for yourcritique of nmy installation plan. I do not understand the meaning of the antecedent. It seems that it should mean what comes before what you would be installing.

The weather is OK for working outside at the moment, so did some WPs with Nuptse. HHe clearly loves this work.

    Hi,
PLANNING WP INSTALLATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF WORKING WITH REMOTE REINFORCEMENT

    Antecedent:
    Play tug toget revved up.
    Perhaps chase a ball.
Followed by 1 or 2 obstacles into the WPs.
    Behavior:
    A. WPs and reward at first near start of WPs.
Gradually move reward back to start of seq.
Then when that is going well,
    B. gradually add more obstacles after the WPs Before getting the Reinforcement.
Place reinforcement after an obstacle, and sometimes, pass by it before releasing Nuptse to the Reward
    with “Get it!”

N.B. Ping pong back and forth between A & B.

    REinforcement Procedure:
    Usually Get it!

Returning to the Start of Sequence:
If we are notthere, then using engagement of eye contact and/ or tugging and/or tricks.

This is our winter project along with leash tugging.

This will keep us busy along with Changtse!!!

    Hi, Tracy,

Thanks for your critique about leadh tugging:

‘Also, with an eye towards raising value even more: instead of the the ‘give’ cue, you can use your “remote reinforcement marker” to get the leash back then run to the cookies placed further away and reward. That can really help build up the leash as a pretty irresistible toy and as part of the beginning & end of run routines 🙂’
What do you mean by remote reinforcement marker inplace of the give cue in you above comment?

How long after next Monday, will you be answering our posts? This has been a terrific class. Thank you for all youradvice.
MY posting of my installation follows.

    HI,
Is it ever obvious from this video of Nuptse’s doing the WPs, that remote reinforcement is key!
Thank y ou for recognizing N’s desire for reinforcement. Onthe 2nd pass, I was trying to reward N shortly after the WPs. (It may not have been very clear.( The exit setup there muddies the waters bigtime! EG, the person was trying to help me leave by the far door, but inadverdently kinda gotin the way.

    Hi, tracy,
We moved to the outdoors with SHHHH. Needed to have a high value reinforcement (Liverwurst) to keep N in the game. Need to fade the treat after Give, but this is difficult with trying to keep him playing. What are your suggestions? Work more inside where there are lower distractions values?
Added somw directionals into this video.

    Hi, Tracy,
Extending our sequences with the WPs is difficult now that winter is upon us. Need to find indoor facilities. Perhaps, Kim’s! Can work on that as a winter project for Nuptse.
We began Shhhh yesterday. And worked on “Give” with low to higher value toy. Love the idea of training with shhhh. Perhaps,Nuptse will not get so frustrated with the directional training with using Shhhhh to keepthe game going.

    Hi,
From the indoors Toy-Toy time, we went outside to play with the WPs. The White Fluffy very hi-value indoor toy amounted to nothing outside for that session. ( Another time, it could be high value.)
It is difficult to order disttractions , toys, and food in much of an ascending value, because the mood changes. For instance, this afternoon outside, I used a cheese stick to go get after the WPs. That ususally is a very low value treat. The bushes were high in value, but when I sent him to the bushes once after a set of WPs, he wanted the cheese!

    Good Afternoon!

Things weren’t as uncomplicated today. tried to repeat yesterday’s Toy-toy and “ok” release, but had to deal with high and low value toys and treat in hand behind my back.

    H9, Tracy,
That Zoom chat session was great! Am excited about getting Changtse, but Nuptse is NOT!!! He does not like puppies so have been preparing him with a stuffed mini Changtse and that N had to share with her.
So we broke in Changtse’s new toys for this video! It was great fun. I love how you break down behaviors to a really fun time!!
