    Hi, tracy,
Hope that you had a fun time yesterday and not too many sundaes!

Here’s our Wing with a toy. If I stepped back from the wing a bit, Nuptse began trying to guess what I wanted. The wrapping was not on his mind, unless I blockedhis path.

    Hi, Tracy,
Are you a lover of mountains? I am surprised that you recognized Changtse & Nuptse as mountains!!!
Before mountains names, Hi & I used the names of backpacks for our dogs as in the Kelty and Eiger backpacks.

I very much enjoyed your zoom chat. I watched 1/2 hour before Hitting the sack that night. then rewatched the entire chat when I got home from the trial.

In getting ready to include the WPs in a loop, I began with the Get it procedure today…what a mess!!!
I started indoors and then went outside. The pause between Get It! and the toss is non existent.
I need to clean up the OUT/GIVE part. and when there is such a short time between the release and the get it, perhaps, I should use shshshsh instead of get it!

Thanks, tracy, for those answers…very clarifying. Will be teaching Changtse, my puppy, when she gets here around Dec 12th!
Went to an AKC Trial on Friday to see how Nuptse would fare as we work our way back into running at trials. Remember, at least since the beginning of camp, we have been trying to get Nuptse more comfortable at the start line and tougher mentally so that he can run more runs per day without too many FEO runs. Well, you have helped out tremendously on both fronts! He is moving off the start line much faster now and not freezing there. I can lead out past the first obstacle a few feet without stressing him out. Yay!!! We can also do about 4 runs on the first day without going into super stressville.
AT this trial, although Nuptse could not do any tricks except sit when we moved to the start line, his runs did not exhibit big stress except in the WPs for the Std & JWW runs. WPs are a stress obstacle for him.
So this is what we would like to work on, ie, making N love the WPs.

    Hi, Tracy,
At a trial when Nuptse gets stessed sometimes, he pops out of the WPs. This past Friday at and AKC trial, he popped outof the WPs at #10 inboth the standard run and the Jmprs WWPs runs, which were back to back. He had already run the Premier Std run very nicely. AS we walked into the ring, he could not do any tricks. Will post these runs under our thread.

Another behavior that I would like to be able to swap out for another is barking at the birds when we are training.

    Hi, tracy,
At the USDAA Trial last weekend, there many of your course trends that we have been working on. Both Kim & I were thrilled that we were pepared.
I found that I waslate on many BCs, especially one in the Standard on Sunday, Nov 7. It is toward the end of the run after the Teeter, Tunnel.

    Std 7Nov2021

I set up a similar sequence to try to get the BC out of the Tunnel earllier. The timing waS BETTER, BUT PERHAPS I could BC whenNuptse enters the tunnel because the jump after the tunnel is on the path.

    Hi, Tracy,
did not realize that you were working at the Open, but congratulations on all that you did. You must feel super good about the Trends Class after seeing that it was all born ourin the Open courses.

    Hi, Tracy,
Are y ou on your way to FL today?
You made some interesting comments, as usual!! What do you give your dogs for their small meals during the competitive day? Knowing what you do will help me begin to create meals for Nuptse. I am excited to begin this glucose replenishing during a trial!
Thanks for the arm back info for the BS slice. That arm back is sooo helpful, but sometimes difficult to execute when I forget!!!! LOL!

    Hi, Tracy
    Thanks for the MOP observations!
The Trial was fun. Ran 5 runs on Sat with the midddle one as an FEO run.
Ran 4 runs oon Sun with the last, Snooker, as a very short run.
    Diagnosis
Nuptse was fast on first run of each day. I could his slowing down a bit on some of the other runs.
On the first Pairs run, the 2nd obs was the WPs. He had enuf of that set up! So he did a 18 sec wscape, then returned to run with a vengeance, (for clean!!!)
The first run of the weekend was jumpers. It was N’s best and not good on my timing and not enuf verbal cues. At the first backside, I slowed down, because N was not ahead and I was going to have to go to the BS too! What should I have done differently?

    Hi,
Tried to run parallel to nuptse’s line for the backside but didn’t always have good connection and then he took the front side. Selected mostly the problem clips so that you could further critique what is going on with our backside slices.

    Hi,
This video is from this afternoon. The birds were in full force. I was telling Nuptse to wrap the first wing with the wrong cue. He did not seem to care. But he was distracted. I found that by using extra eye contact and less motion, I could get him to do the correct cue!

    Hi, Tracy,
Thank you for your this AM’s comments. This morning we Went to the full jump after a few of the wing and bar setup. That went well for Nuptse, but not for me! I forgot what a wrap was and only did a U-turn with Nuptse!!!!

This sort of fell apart in the afternoon. More to follow.

    Hi, tracy,
Thanks for pointing out that with the Backwards Start,I needto be in line with the wrap wing so as not to create a RC.
Here is our practicing the Backsides with incrementally adding distance. You introduced us to this training with the Blazing Backsides course. I never perfected it for us. Now, I am changing the verbal from push-slice to just “Slice”. We had 100% success rate for this part. Can’t wait to move onto the full jump, but so far so good. Will begin tomorrow’s training going the other way around the wing.

    Hi, Tracy,
Here is the Backward Sends from a distance. In this particular sequence I am very close to the #2 jump; thus, my path to #2 is much shorter so that I need to chnage my direction to the #3 jump sooner…..definitely ans eye opener!!
i had not figured out that I was closer to jump #2 and should turn sooner distance-wise! So I tried to correct my path in the last 2 clips to get Nuptse tighter on his turn.

    H, Tracy,
Decided to do the Backwards Start. Previous to Your Camp, Niuptse froze on the start line when I lead out. So want to practice all sorts of starts. This is a good one and Nuptse is enjoying it.
