What do you suggest that we select next to practice: The tunnel-jump discrimnation section from Wk ! or the backside section in Week 2 or both?

Worked on your suggesstions yesterday. My timing is still not great!! And at a TRial, Nuptse will need cueseven earllier! I think that we sshould move on and just keep this timing challenge in mind. I agree that cues should be given before obstacle n-1 for obstacle n. Stuart Mah taught me that way back in 2001! he always talked about the dog entering the “city” ( a discrimination area) and needed about 2 -4 seconds to process what he was supposed to do in the city. But this situation that you have set up adds another layer of complication in that there are 2 cues to process and notjust one!Go!, Jmp-Rt & Rt-Rt 19Oct2021

Was really thrilled with today’s sessions. By back chaining, starting with jumps close together and honoring the 2 failurs rule, Nuptse never got frustrated!!! I felt by the endof today, (3 sessions)
Nuptse had learned a lot and had a handle on Go vs Left. (We did Right first session today and also yesterday, so ended with left today.)Left vs Go! at Exit of Tunnel 16Oct2021

Thanks for your comments. Back chained the 2 jumps out of necessity! I think from now on with training this distance work, I shall back chain the sequence. Nuptse becomes much more confident!Distance– Tunnel to 2 Jumps 15Oct2021

Have to tell you about our VT outdoor UKI Tiral. Paco was not there, but his courses were. We entered all 6 runs on Sat and all 4 runs on sun. Took your advice to run the difficuult runs as FEO. On Sat, we ran 4 runs for real and 2 for FEO. Nuptse was very much in the game, except for the last run, where he was tired. On sun, we ran the first 3 runs weel. then stopped….enuf already!!!
Wanted to show you Nuptse’s “You get out of my space, car!” Video. (WEwere working on not chasing butterflies for 2 years and what happens,..Nuptse didn’t care about the butterflies, just the car!)
Had already announced FEO before setting up at the SL.

The warm ups outside the ring go very well, but I have treats!
Thank you so much for your observation about Nuptse’s mental capacity at these trials.
I think your assessment is pretty accurate and we will do NFC in the twistiy/harder courses
for awhile.
Have loved this camp. We have learned a mega ton of stuff in all directions of agility!!!

Hi, Tracy,
Yesterday’s UKI Trial was a luke warm wxperience. The first run, speedstakes, was fine. Then Iran FEO, but it was a bust because of N’s need to poop. The good news was that he went to visit the ring crew and held the poop until outside!!!
The 3rd run was masters Jumpers. that was fine. He took an off course tunnel in the beginning, but then we had a good run.
The 4th run was Snooker. I think that it was that run that a dog splashed into the pool that is on the other side of the blue fence as he was WALKING/TROTTING. He looked in the splash direction and then seemed to lose enthusiasm for running.
In the 5th and final run, Std Agility, the course began with a tunnel to the DW, one of his favorite obstacles. He takes many more than his customary 5 strides to cover the DW, which is a tell. Then as he comes down the serp line to the #6 jump, I said, “Tac-Tac-Tac.” He seem to deflate upon hearing those words.

Nuptse said, “Fool me once. shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you!” The pattern game, either several treats at a time, scatter, or one at a time, was good for one visit to the agility area!
So after Nuptse finished exploring the area he ran with me. I showed you both the first and 2nd runs for Seq 3, because Nuptse was very slow on the first run. He then got wet and ran better.Walk Thru Seq 3 26Aug2021

Hi, Tracy,
Thank you for your invaluable critique on my Front crosses!Did you see the video before the last one that you commented on? It was taking up your suggestion to enter the agility area doing the pattern game, trying to talk him into not investigating the area until after an agility run. I tried to dial down the volume as we entered by scattering treats that he had to hunt for. This did seem to calm him. He did not even bolt when I took off his leash!!!
