ParticipantWith Squaring up for the climbers set up, the climbing of the board was more important for Nuptse’s training than the squaring up:

ParticipantHi, Tracy,
Nuptse IS confident. He is soo happy with this training. Just to show you how confident he has become with this training, I dusted off the WPs today and started doing a review and included 1 clip of the WPs that we did in the midst of the elevator training.

ParticipantHi, Tracy,
<<His little tail was going 1000 miles per hour and he was very patient about waiting for his treats LOL!Was he trying to lick your face when you were using 2 hands to lift the board? LOL! And it looks like he was adding in nose touches to the target, perhaps thinking you wanted that while he was waiting. Ha! Clever! And also great to see that the movement of the board seems to be a non-issue.>>
Still laughing over your comments!
Here’s our Elevator Game. Nuptse is definitely loving these treats!

ParticipantHi,
Here is some more fading the target. We have done 5 sessions now. I do not think that Nuptse cares where the board is “within reason”. We did it once outside the chiropractor’s office on grass next to a busy street. Of course he was on leash, but paid no attention to the traffic or his surroundings.
So we have 2 weaknesses:
1. Treats on my person. If Nuptse knows that they are there, ( just as when we were doing Blazing Blinds,in the first exercises, he couldn’t operate to full capacity when I had treats in my hand.)
2. My being behind him. Now, maybe without treats on me, he can go to the target and I can be behind him….not sure.Fad i n g 3Apr2021

ParticipantHappy Easter!
Here’s our Bang Game with a higher board.
The first clip is the start of our session. The 2nd and 3rd clips are from the middle of the session and with me farther away.
The last 2 clips are the end of the session. He does like this game!Bang Game Big Tip 3Apr2021

ParticipantH9ii, Tracy,
This was a fun exercise. Several of theses target games will really cement that behavior! Note: Showed you the first 2 targets, 2 in the middle of session and the final targets.Fading The Target 1April2021

ParticipantGood Morning, Tracy!
Here’s Nuptse in the elevator game.Elevator Game 30Mar2021
Think that we are going to work on fading the target via your instructions on another board somewhere else.

ParticipantHi, Tracy,
Thanks you for your observations and suggestions. Here is our video based upon those things.
More SS. Tip to Ground. 28Mar2021
Nuptse loves this training so much that he has wanted to do other training more eagerly!!! He will even forsake the birds for some SS training!!!

ParticipantHi, Tracy,
You are right. Nuptse is paying attention to the target and not the cookies in my hand..Yay! I am not sure whether he is doing a little bit of feeling the pivot point, especially, in the next to last clip. but at least, he continues on to the target. What do you think?Downhill + Bang Game S S to Ground 25Mar2021
I am impressed with Nuptse’s tackling the teeter, thanks to your splitting of behaviors.

ParticipantHi, Tracy,
Here is a combination of both downhill and the bang game. We began by making the board parallel to the ground, which was more tip than Nuptse was used to. He seemed to fare ok. He loves the target so much that he will jump up on the board just to check for a potential morsel!Downhill & Bang 24Mar2021

ParticipantH, Tracy,
Thank you again for the wonderfully aromatics!
This is our 2nd session since you wrote to not change anything.
He seems to be comfortable now running to the target. He also does not care whether I am far or near him. What are your suggestions for our next session?Downhill w Target & More Confidence 23Mar2021

ParticipantHi, Tracy,
Thank you for responding so quickly! Yes, you read Nuptse well. He does take off when he is mentally challenged.
