ParticipantI repeated the Strike a Pose serps and threadles proofing game again – this time on the other side. We had some trouble just getting the tunnel at the beginning, as she seemed to be focusing in on the tunnel entrance she could see behind me, rather than paying attention to my handling. Then, same with my hand and verbal cues for the threadle option. This was hard for her, so we took a break. She seemed more focused later in the day…..

ParticipantHere is our attempt at the Rocking Horse Turn-away game. We started with just getting the lap turn from a sit-stay. Then after a wrap, and then after a couple of wraps. Then we tried the tandem turn. I thought she did quite well, especially as I usually use a verbal for this type of turn.

ParticipantI repeated the “Get-Out” proofing game – this time on the opposite side, and really making an effort not to help her with physical cues, other than turning the upper body. I thought she did quite well!

ParticipantNext we did the Wind in Yer Hair Transitions game. Although I was trying to us deceleration to cue the turn, I’m not sure if this is what I was actually doing…..

ParticipantI tried the threadle verbal proofing game from Wk 4 again – this time I tried not to be using physical cues to get the jump after the “in” cue. I thought this was better than last time – I tried to keep my arm back, as suggested – but I’m not sure if I got it right….

ParticipantHere is the Get Out game – not sure how we did, as I’m not sure if I was sticking to my line properly for the get-outs.

ParticipantThen we repeated the Strike a Pose game from last week, this time using different cues as appropriate, as you suggested.

ParticipantToday we tried the Concept transfer game with RCs – I thought she did quite well. I included some in between clips of her bringing her toy back – as this is a new skill she’s just learnt!! When i reversed the exercise, I used a jump, instead of a wing for the initial wrap.

This video should be reset to unlisted now – it is the Diamond game.Juliet Weissberg
ParticipantToday we also tried the Diamond games, but I didn’t get to rewatch the video, so I’m not sure if we were following the correct sequences, or if it was OK to just make them up. We had fun anyway!

ParticipantToday we repeated the RC game – this time I tried very hard not to use my shoulders or my arms to turn Yowza. We were definitely more successful, but I’m still not sure if I’m turning my shoulders correctly.

ParticipantWe repeated the Strike a Pose threadles, this time using the “in” cue, and less handling….

ParticipantI tried the rear crosses again, trying to follow your suggestions – to follow path toward center of bar – and to stay closer to the wrap wing – not sure how successful I was. Because she still wasn’t getting the left turn, I tried setting her up closer to the jump, and gradually moving her back. This seemed to work, as she was successful after that – I hope this was an OK thing to do….
Then I repeated the backsides. Where she had difficulty completing the circle when I moved forward past the jump, I dropped the toy, as you suggested.

ParticipantWe also tried the Strike a pose game for proofing serps and threadles – i thought Yowza did really well with these. Sorry I didn’t get her starting position in the picture, but the position was in about the same place for all of the exercises we did – i.e. I didn’t change it up for the threadles

ParticipantWe tried the Wk 4 Wind in yer Hair games today – Yowza had a lot of fun! – but she definitely didn’t want to turn left, and I wasn’t sure what to do about it – so we need your help here….
For the backside sends, I forgot my plan to use a different verbal for a backside slice, and backside wrap – I used “push” but that is supposed to be for a slice – I should have used “circle”.
