ParticipantTunnel Games – here she was very interested in the toy! Not sure if I was handling it exactly right – I forgot my clicker, and my yesses were late most of the time (I think you said click as she’s going in tunnel). And I was hesitant to “rev” her up too much, as she is still very sensitive about my collar “grab” – so I wanted to be careful when I was holding her collar – but she’s definitely getting much better with this (e.g. – I can now use her collar, instead of the harness). Also – if you have any tips for teaching her to bring the toy back to me, they would be much appreciated! – she’ll do it inside, but not outside – she’ll run toward me if I run away from her, but not all the way in to me.

ParticipantHere is a video of our attempts at Parallel Path commitment with a “jump” and Strike a Pose. I thought she did well with the parallel path – I was trying to go slow, but I don’t think I was sauntering….
I thought she did OK with the Strike a Pose with the treats, though I’m not sure if I was doing it exactly right. We didn’t do so well with the toy, as she seemed more interested in the treats, so I stopped our session there. She may be more enthusiastic about a toy if I throw it, but she does not yet bring it back to me, and I wasn’t coordinated enough to use the toy in a string.

ParticipantHere’s our second attempt at start line stays – adding a little more distance and duration – trying to throw the treat behind her, but she keeps leaping up to get it….

Participantthis is video of our progress in the Wing Wrap games – first with a large box for our “wing” – I thought she did quite well with this.
Then I tried it with the toys – but went back to the stanchion, as we hadn’t done this yet with the toys. I thought she did well with this too.

ParticipantSo I tried the prop games again, this time trying to incorporate your suggestions. Tried to throw treat further, and leave earlier, so that i was further ahead of her when she was approaching the prop. Again, she sometimes missed the prop – sometimes she didn’t see it.
With the counter motion, I did remember to “reset” her her before sending her, some of the time – but forgot some of the time too – bad Mama!

ParticipantHere we are playing the parallel line game, followed by countermotion with a backward send. I hope these were OK – I thought she did well (not sure about me). I didn’t get the sideways send on video – forgot to turn the camera on…. – will try to repeat it tomorrow.

ParticipantSorry about that with my previous videos – it was late! – I think the drive ahead and blind cross ones can now be viewed – changing them was not easy!
Also here is our attempt at baby start line stays – I was amazed at how Yowza caught the treats, as she’s never caught anything before! She knows the cue sit, so I used it, but you’ll see that sometimes she was distracted and took a while to sit – I waited for her to sit, but I wasn’t sure what to do there…..

ParticipantHere is video of the Blind Cross game – this time outside, with more distance, and less slipping. I did have a couple of practice runs for this, before I put the video camera on – I started off being very late with my turns, so hopefully they are more timely here.
The second video is our continuation of the Wing Wrap foundation. She’s definitely got the hang of going to the food bowls, and I think she might be understanding that she needs to go round the wing, but I didn’t push it…. hopefully in the next session she’ll get it.

ParticipantHere is our drive ahead and focus forward game, followed by the Sending to a prop game (this time outside). I had difficulty with this game because I found when I got her more excited with “ready, ready!” she was less focused on the prop, and frequently missed touching it with her feet, even though she ran toward it, or over it. I wasn’t sure what to do, so I waited until she touched it before i rewarded her.

ParticipantHere is the blind cross game. this was a little difficult in my space inside, and she was slipping quite a bit, so next time I will take it outside.

ParticipantThanks for the feedback on the Send game. Yes, I became aware that my “yesses” were early, but couldn’t seem to stop myself – I will work on cleaning this up – and will also take this outside.
Next we did the Wing Wrap games – first with food, then with toys. She seemed to pick up the idea pretty quickly, and I think she’ll get the wing wrap after a couple more sessions. Should we also try the wrap using the 2 toys?

ParticipantWell – I haven’t been able to find out how to post a video. Are there some instructions somewhere that I missed?
Anyway – I have put one of them on You-tube, and I’ll try posting the link here, and see if that works.
This video shows the send game, using a hat as a prop for the foot touch. I started off throwing the treat in the wrong direction, but hopefully I got it right after that. If this video link works, then I’ll post all the others on You-tube too. If not, I’ll need you to point me to some directions – thanks!
